Nobody likes SM because of her design. The design is so poor that it made her impossible to really balance and make her fun. She makes 0 sound on stealth, you literally canβt track her unless you can see her, she doesnβt walk, she slides, her walking animation doesnβt exist, her drones has 0 counterplay, when she uses drones on loops you are forced to hold W and get hit, deactivate her drones does nothing because she can recall them with a button press without losing any time while you lose time deactivating them, crouching to avoid detection is just a poor way of saying βgive her more time to patrol gens for freeβ, she gets passive movement speeds from doing barely anything, but the number one reason I donβt like her is that everyone that plays her feels like a NPC, the moment you drop a pallet they instantly break them, they just hold W, they never mindgame even at unsafe pallets and thatβs why they only play her because she demands no effort

This Merchant is definitely better than her previous iterations, but sheβs still closer to the bottom in terms of being fun
Love Skull Merchant, agree people hate her too much, they don't realize she's just a cool stealth killer if she wants to be instead of boring loops. Plague, Legion, SM and Pig are all funnest to me.
I love present SM. Shes strong but has counter play (a couple levels of counter play).
The hate is ridiculous
The only crime Skully commits now is having a horrendously mediocre power both in terms of strength and uniqueness. Unless you're as unobservant as a lobotomized star nosed mole, you should not be getting tagged by drones projecting a gigantic yellow circle outside of chase, meaning Skully can only get 3 stacks by lazer tagging or getting lucky by you running to another tile with a drone. This also assumes the survivors haven't been doing their job by disabling every single drone they can find by seeing them hovering or noticing the gigantic yellow circles on the ground. I mean, really, buck up, prethrow every pallet, and hold W. Boom, she's useless. This is not the character you should be upset at facing. You have a good choice when facing Skully: run. You don't have ANY good choices when facing Nurse.
