2: No gens done in 20 minutes of free roaming. Killer dropped survivors dozens of times. Survivors all threw for killer.
3: Myers pretends to be real infinite. Game proceeds with NO ONE going down for five straight gens after.
4: Game four was rather insane: One player drops at start to ruin game. Others do in fact hide, and troll without doing gens. Confirmed farming by the way the killer trolled, and abused me the solo. Players were observed watching pentimento be set up for holding game hostage. Will add even while attempting to avoid 'toxic' player interaction killer would use me to help the other players gain points on multiple occasions. Waiting at a pallet. Bringing me to group for healing, then dowing again as apparent examples. At the much much over 40minutes later two ppl left; killer continued to refuse to end game with one survivor,(rebecca.) Despite three gens left, and rebecca staying with killer. Killer would walk around with me for over thirty minutes. (Observed while playing pokemon scarlet. =D ) These ppl will never be banned, and is highly likely direct abuse from Behavior staff.
5: All began together. No killer ever sighted the entire game. Tested doing gen (helping,) and not doing gen, (allowing three crows to track just myself on multiple occasions.) Nothing sighted. Five gens proceeding to be done. Fake match, can be considered killer forced afk farming.
6: Killer proceeded to find me instantly at start, no perk addition for The Pig Killer. Three gens would be done confirming no care for game result. While watching two people would stop playing. Nothing can be confirmed. -Certainly not real.
7: Quickly noted only BPS was brought. Nurse downs in first minute. (looking legit for the first time? Yay???) Heavy assitance provided, (ds, flashlight saves, hard chases,) and team would fall apart regardless after two gens completed. Confirming farming for killer. Everyone stopped playing at this point. Perhaps pressured surrender from immature frustration of it just 'being' a nurse. Game would stall almost as if held hostage, and gens would proceed to never continue less I personally touched them.
8: Started with no one doing gens. Gens would not be touched for the next eight minutes. Following this would be the obvious acknowledgment that the killer was never playing. Confirmed afk killer found later. Match proceeded as a free ride.

You know, on that note… it would be cool if her power recharged faster, or took longer to cleanse (or both) based on the distance the crows flew…
I do a mixture of snipes and zoning with her. Snipes are super fun, but zoning/shutting down loops is so much more efficient
Also, these survivors are definitely paid actors, they didn't hop in a locker every time they had crows, losing them 30 meters in the chase that's about to happen >:(

What I really love about the Artist is that she makes hiding in lockers basically irrelevant since you can trigger killer instinct if someone is hiding in a locker when a crow passes by. I don't know how many times I've found people in lockers unintentionally by using her crows.
Artist is always fun if you go for mid and long-range snipes, she’s pretty boring if you just try to cut off loops.
Every time I see someone jump in a locker I think "I should run iron maiden on huntress" but forget to until I see it again

This is how Artist is supposed to be played but you can't stop players from taking advantage of easier play styles.
You have Bubba's that camp a hook and Bubba's who chase. Every killer has a play style that's more boring, even Trapper has iri stone.

I main Artist and I really enjoy long ranging sniping a lot with her. Been practising with no add-ons and she is the Killer I go to for BP grinding since I don't need anything, just perks. I play her to try and out think the survivor, be it long range sniping or mid chase, and she is always fun to play as for my playstyle. People I come across in end game chat seem to enjoy facing her too, even if it is a 4K/hatch game.
It's great to see you enjoy playing her this way too Scott, though I never thought about using Thrill, what was it for, to counter boons in a way?
I mainly use info perks to help snipes and keep pressure going. Brine is used mostly for info but regression is a handy thing. Will still use Brine for the build even after the nerf, since the info aspect isn't being touched.

This is my ideal way to play Artist, and people call me a lunatic when I say I main her. Her design is top tier and it's just extra icing on the cake to make her fun. Wish Knight could've gotten the same treatment but no he's just terrible.
When I sometimes play Artist, I like using the severed hands + discordance build
Look how fun DbD is when both sides play to do fun things/get fun plays rather than just doing what will give them the easiest win

They should give her an Iri that limits you to one bird / only use the "swarm" part of her power, with the benefit of being much faster recharge or something like that. or maybe make it a brown so people can use it like every match
There's no fun way to play artist. It's all just mindlessly spamming map wide ranged attacks while your character screams annoyingly for 10-20 minutes.
where do you get the ideas
Saw a good idea to rework her a bit so she'd get more rewarded for doing shots like this. Drop her down to 1 bird, and give her a slightly faster cd so you could reliably go for shots instead of zoning. Could also make it so close shots can only swarm or something. I love Artist, but playing her like this can be super frustrating if they can dodge well.

As an Artist main, I approve. This is the most fun way to play Artist. I tried a chase oriented build, and while it worked really well. I still found myself just going for snipes cause it was more fun.
My personal favorite thing to do is when we're on a map like Swamp or Dead Dawg and I snipe someone on the second story from across the map on a balcony or slope. Shit feels so good to hit.
It does get rough when you have people who really know how to play against her, tho. The people who run from the gen when they hear a bird, or get into lockers immediately, or even when they run distortion.
I really like artist because her power allows for you to be so open with perk choices. Like you basically just have to run bbq and pain res since her power comes built in with map control, slowdown, and info. You don't need to bring corrupt or lethal since you can already find survivors early just with her power. It's really refreshing not having to run a bunch of really good perks all the time.
I really wish bhvr would do a little bette with the chase music for multiple killers. It’s a 3-5 second loop and drives me insane

Its wild seeing so many people in the comments talking so positively about Artist. I know they’re doing so in reference to this playstyle (and not the one where she just drops a bird at a loop and you either leave or die.) but even still, I feel as though the sentiment around her as a Killer has always been quite negative. Im glad to see there are a good amount of people who enjoy her.

I don't think Artist being 115% is weird, her power, as it is right now, is not as reliable to get down by itself. The crows can be used to "block" spots in loops so people run away from them. Repelling a crow takes like 8 seconds, which is quite short actually. Enough to get a down but you have only one chance. Now since a lot of counterplay against her is to hold W, she would struggle so much as 110% unless they made repelling crows more difficult. She would need some tweaks to her power to be efficient and not incredibly frustrating at 110%.
Sniping with Artist is fun until they jump in lockers constantly, making it impossible to snipe and forcing you to go back to the boring, but effective anti-loop playstyle.
This is definitely a map problem, though, as some have poor locker placement, making sniping very easy, while others have one near gens at all times.
