Perk idea: mad grit but permanent. Perhaps a hex? It’ll be unbalanced as hell but boy would it be fun
I agree that they need new statuses or mechanics. The scourge hooks, boons, invocations and nic cage perks show theyre willing to change up how we apply effects in game but theyre still just the same old mechanics weve been using the whole time. Just stay far away from incapacitated we dont need a repeat of eruption.
What I thought would be a cool idea for perks is…. they still have their levels. BUT The levels are not gained in the Bloodweb. In the Blood web you just unlock the perk once. The level is determined by which slot you put the perk. Two slots gain level 3 One slot for level 2 and one slot for level 1. This way you have to prioritise which perks you want to have at max strength etc.
Deaf is with Knock out If I'm right, but I agree. There are some effects that should be used more
I actually like the concept of the deafen status effect. I already get heart attacks, having to play against ghost face and Myers but seeing the fucking nemesis charging at you while not being able to hear shit would actually make me cry😂😂

I think we need more perks that interact with the survivors, killers, or even the map itself. As someone who started playing around Mikaela’s release, I’ve always found boons to be fun to use because they act as a side objective with long term benefit attached to them. Ever since Circle of Healing’s nerf, this isn’t really the case anymore because it’s not worth looking for the totem to get value that relies on multiple people working together, but it’s a fun concept nonetheless.
I also think they need to get their shit together with over-nerfing perks. I think Iron Will is a great example of this: it created an unbelievable amount of builds (stealth, sabo / save, chase, head on etc,) but now it’s constantly breathing down your neck if you slip up. Even if it were 80% or 90% silent without the no exhaustion requirement, it’d still be outclassed by perks like Off The Record.
interesting discussion, I agree with a lot but I feel like the game should keep the 3 tiers for perks cause its better progression. Once you get all P3 characters then you miss having stuff to actually progress too.
Find it really funny how they added player Icons and banners, but didn't use it to fill up the prestige levels. It's simple PNG its not an entire 3d model. They could make one banner for every character and simply recolor it for higher levels. Yes, it's lazy but it still something
I cool idea I have for a Undetectable Perk would work like this:
Stay within 12 Meters of a Completed Generator to gain the Undetectable Status Effect
This effect lingers for an additional 5 seconds
I'm a fan of the concept of collapsing perks into fewer options. There are many that could be combined without causing too much of an issue. We have too many of them, for sure. I'd rather see that done than to just make everything r3 from the getgo bc that doesn't really fix the problem, IMO. If we're being honest, players are gonna keep building up their bloodweb regardless, at least on their favorite characters. It isn't like ppl stop once all the perks are ranked up aside from p1'ing teachables in which case who cares how long it takes if you don't plan to use those characters.
If I remember correctly the Tier system of perks is hardcoded in the game, so they won’t get rid of that.
And as a long time player I‘m happy with the prestige system, back in the days it was way, way more obnoxious to get perks

No joke, Dredge with a deafen status perk/addon feels like it would be required for it with how fucking loud the thing is.
Then again, a lot of things feel required for that killer. Used to main it, but nonstop losing due to having so many counters out of its control and being map dependent as hell ruined it for me in terms of playing it consistently. Still my favorite killer though, love ‘em! I just wish it got either a rework or a bunch of QoL updates so I can feel motived to play it seriously again.
how about this: instead of removing perk tiers make them level up through xp. for example you prestige meg once and get tier 1 adren you get a health state. after playing for like an hour with said perk you get tier 2 and a 3 second speedburst is added. you could even go up to tier 3 for another buff that needs around 5-10h of playtime. idk if that would be balanced but it would at least fix the bloodweb clutter plus give people something to passively grind for. this would also be an opportunity to make the lower end of perks like corrective action worth running.
I love the idea of only having having one perk level, there are too many perks and its so annoying when I get a perk I wanted and I have to wait another hour or so just to max it out. Like I just wanna enjoy the new perk on my main character. I also love the idea of replacing persitge levels other than one with character specfiic items.
That mandatory tier numbers is most obvious with the Calm Spirit rework where the tiers is a decreasing amount of penalty in totem cleansing and chest unlocking, something that is so random compared to its main effect.

100% agree on perk tiers. I can't even imagine being a new player and coming into this game and trying to get all the perks unlocked. It must be a nightmare.
Also, doesn't knockout deafen? I know it does something, I just don't remember. But either way, definitely underused status effects.
Hello kaiser, can you talk about the AFK killer situation? And what behavior can do about it? I recently had 10 games back to back with afk and autoclicking killers. This needs to stop.

I just wish we had more perks that changed the game. But every perk that does encourage you to play in a different way are bad or just arent used. I LOVE Ace in the hole. Its so much fun to have a simple perk like that that changes how i approach the game even if its minor
