  1. So, first people complained Spirit had collision (and rightfully so, she could find people like that) and they said if devs took away collision Spirit would be just fine. Now people complain about Spirit not having counterplay in general cause "its guessing game". As if you cant loop Spirit. Sooooo, i guess its never going to be enough?

  2. I think the issue is her power has no down side to using it. Most other killers do.
    Phead you can’t swing quickly and the power can be dodged.
    Nurse basically gets stunned.
    Billy gets a slowed down.
    Demo gets slowed down.
    Clown and huntress and trickster have to reload.
    Slinger has to reload gun.

    And even worse, if some of these characters mess up their ability they get punished, like bubba for example.
    But spirit has none of this, what is the negative of using the power randomly? There is none, what happens when spirit uses her power badly? Nothing.

  3. Otz misses the point imo.

    Only some really crazy players will be able to track these timings so precisely. And even then there is always a big uncertainty, because survivor don't know for sure when she starts phasing.

    Some of these add-ons are really busted. That's the main issue. Mother daughter ring, combined with 3.5 s longer phasing is totally op.

  4. This is why I love "otz" my guy wasn't scared to speak aloud on This debate. They really just need to nerf spirit, and especially her add-ons. Like Wtf dBd…?

  5. The argument that spirit has no counter-play comes off as hypocritical from many people: unsafe pallets that are 50-50's are good, but spirit making safe pallets 50-50's is not good. Regardless, either side of the argument is completely pointless because no one even knows what the game is being balanced for.

    Now, I already knew her addons were BS, but now I'm realizing just how much. Thanks for opening my eyes, Otz. I'm still gonna be crucified because I have basically the exact opposite opinion on Spirit compared to the rest of the community, and we all know how toxic hive-mind opinions can be, but now I can at least try to reason with people with the only 2 things that I believe make her as bad as everyone says she is: Stridor and her addons.

  7. Otz once proposed a very fun change. Let the spirit have a passive phase in and out of existence while she is phasing. The same way she banishes while chasing, she could reappear sometimes while phasing (similar to old freddy). I think that passive phasing was a feature the player could control, this would open for new strats about giving and taking information.

  8. Small note, but the Move Speed add-on values are incorrect. Spirit using Mother-Daughter Ring moves at 220% speed, a 46% speed added on to her base. All the other speed add-ons also have lower values.
