The Story & Meaning Behind the Offerings of Dead by Daylight

Hey everyone, today I thought we’d look through the offerings of Dead by Daylight and discuss the possible origin and meaning of them, as it’s something that doesn’t really get talked about all that much, offerings in general I feel I neglect a bit. Let’s get into it.

Chapter 23 has been released! It’s Sadako Rising, a licensed chapter. The new killer is named The Onryō, and the new survivor, Yoichi Asakawa! Sadako’s gameplay is really fun, and Yoichi’s perks are pretty interesting.

  1. The map offerings aren't included in this video, and will be covered in a separate video. Mainly just because the video would be really long otherwise. I don't like splitting stuff up but I think it's for the best here.

  2. This has probably already been pointed out, but the raven wreath representing the deviousness category could also be because ravens are often used as symbols of cleverness and trickery, and the shrike is also known to drop and impale it's prey on sticks and sharp objects. I know people hate Behaviour, but you gotta love their attention to detail and research.

  3. 5:55 It could be a butterfly, as the butterfly effect is a well-known idea and ties into the trails quite well as each time one hatches and flaps its wings two possible outcomes happen; that being the survivors escape or the killer kills them. But it could be a wasp as I can see the entity being the wasp as they are parasitic cocoons and the Entity is kinda a parasite.

  4. Don’t you think that the Glass Shards were such a good idea? If they were still in the game when I started, then it would’ve stopped me from buying almost every single killer trying to find one that’s for me.

  5. I still have the Splinter that allowed you to play as Pig on my Doc's inventory. I only got to use one once and I didnt know what I was doing with her lol. Never gonna prestige my Doc to forever have it in my inventory.

  6. You forgot to mention that some of the reagents have alchemical symbols on them, and Blight was also an alchemist. It seems the Entity is more easily manipulated by alchemy than science.

  7. Great video! I have a video idea that might be interesting and unusual:
what would be the favorite musical genre of every killer? There are probably a few ones that are obvious, like for the Trickster or The Legion, and other ones that may not be possible to rank… But I think it could be an interesting idea

    I Hope.

  8. So I am wanting to make meme builds for all the killers. Specifically for Blight but does anybody have suggestions and the reason I’m making this is because I’m starting to get way too competitive and I just want to kick back and have some fun so I wanna make some funny perk decks

  9. One interesting fact about Shrikes, Shrikes often hang chunks of meat or food on branches to keep it, similar to how a killer would hang a survivor on a meat-hook, that is the main reason a Shrike is called a butcher bird

  10. Ok so for those of you who don’t play dbd mobile you probably will not know this. Our level up and prestige systems are different, to achieve level ups you need to earn character XP by playing in matches. To enhance this we get postcards and different teas (postcards grant extra XP for all players and tea granting extra for just you) for killers there are dolls made out of different materials such as clay, bone and flesh aswell as chalices, these offerings do the same thing but for killers. I have read the information about all of them but I don’t know the reason for making them postcards and stuff cuz I don’t know how that relates to the realm. If anyone knows then please tell me or this could be another video idea

  11. Did you know that when clown is holding a bottle, on the bottom left of the screen where it shows the colour of the gas he is using, the gas disappears when he holds a bottle. I'm not sure why this happens
