Haunted By Daylight has become one of the most competitive events. Everyone is playing like there’s money on the line. Killers are bringing double iri addon meta builds and survivors are bringing purple flashlights. So the event mode is basically just normal mode but with pumpkins

I only use the Void as survivor because the smoke bomb is actually worth the time investment. For many killers, it is not worth finding an entrance, going to the void, getting the phantoms and eventually comeback to check on gens or someone on the hook.
Most killers make moves according to what survivors do: If survivors repair gens, you interrupt, chase and hook, if survivors unhook, you interrupt their healing, chase and hook… But if you are in the void, you can't know where is a survivor that just missed a skillcheck in, you can't tell where is the person that just got unhook (if you got multiple or you hooked them in the void) and the phantom is just a slower Huntress' hatchet that can collide with anything that is touching the ground.
DBD is just not friendly too Solo Queue survivors. If youre not a swf on coms or a top tier killer with good game knowledge then it sometimes seems close to impossible to win. Ive learned to just have fun and go wherever the game takes ya.. Yeah youre going to get killers that slug all 4 at 5 gens then claim its for pressure and say survivors are toxic for not liking it, you may even get salty swfs with 5000 hours each who just want to bully a killer then all die at the end… its just a mixed game with a bunch of different outcomes so its no point to put emotions into this. just have fun and if you dont like something the other side is doing just go next or wait the match out and go next because….. this game is just not friendly to solo queue survivors lol
I think.they take those events so serious because they give bonus bps and they wanna make the most of it… i.had literally just 1 killer with personality that let me go voluntarily because i got bugged from his Wesker lunge so i was permanently stuck in the " getting thrown" animation 😂😂

Killers take the game too seriously and calling a flashlight a Beamer is a gen z thing
I play like a goof I like messing with survivors and getting pets as Dracula as the dog. But can say the void is more hurtful then helpful for killers if u go in u lose gens super fast

Once I accindently went into normal queue, but didn't notice until the third match. When I noticed no one was going into the void.

This entire event is kinda broken and messy. Now that the haunts can't be used to 1 shot survivors there is no real point in going into the void
Are we playing the same event? The killers I've run into are super nice, and when I play Killer, I love going into the void for some quick jumpscares
I play killer and I just want to play normal games but I play the event because it rewards more bloodpoints. So I still use a meta build and somewhat try
I think they should make it so if ur downed in the void u can tp out, but if ur downed in the actual trial then u cannot tp into the void realm. Bc killers r slugging in the void realm and survivors have absolutely no way out unless a teammate falls into the killers deathtrap, such a silly mechanic that shouldve already been added.

I bring my normal build but hyperfocus on the pumpkins lol i just pull survivors off gens so i have more time for more pumpkins hahaha

I do tend to see and unfortunate habit during events were players really don't want others to have fun. Sure, some are playing normally (and if that includes tunneling/camping/bean bully I don't condone but play the game as you want yknow, I aint you), but I do see a decent amount confess to playing JUST to make the events not fun. It's really just sad for them.
I had killers literally try to end the match as fast as they could. wheres the fun farmer killers.

All killers are more sweaty, toxic, meta fixated and literally ruin the experience for people who just wanna enjoy the event. Out of like 100 matches, 2 killers we’re chill af. The rest were those sweats… 🙁
