Survivors are OP and gens move too fast…
It’s really easy to blame the game and throw our hands up. But when it comes to Dead by Daylight killer tips….I think this is a mighty fine demonstration on how ONE choice can ruin your games

About Me!
My name is Dyllon! I have played Dead By Daylight for about 3 years now strictly on my Twitch page. After being asked time and time again about how to get into the game, I decided to try my hand at making guides to help players.

I'm obsessed with this series. The concept is already amazing community outreach. (and the YT videos are great for those of us who miss streams)
Thanks for your great coaching and content!
What tips would you give? 🤔🤔🤔
I have a couple years of comp experience (for what it's worth) and thought I'd chime in here with some things I noticed:
1. Power usage is very good. You have a great grasp of Oni's power.
2. There's a tendency to follow the exact survivor path in dead zones, and that extends chases a bit. If you take wider cutoff angles to the inside, you can prevent them from reaching tiles in the first place. In the first chase with Quentin, if you take a wide angle from the beginning of the chase to the inside of the Z wall instead of following him on the outside, there's a chance you hit him before he even makes the L/T wall. At the very least, he's already pre-rotated to the preferable direction if you take the cutoff angle. Another example of this occurs at 5:05. You follow David to the outside of the filler wall instead of trying to cut him off between shack and the map wall. It works out in this case, but keep in mind that you can zone with your pathing in the same way that you can zone with a killer power. Neither instance is a guaranteed hit by any means, but the upside is that you aren't playing these tiles at all if it works out.
3. General rule of thumb: if you go back to the hook, either tunnel or get the rescuer. It's very risky to do neither. Again, it works out here because you end up getting two downs with your power afterwards. It's an efficiency loss in most cases, although Oni can make up for it if he gets his power.
Loved his Oni style. I haven't played that killer, but those turns are tough.
I gotta say that I forget things like your tip on hooking in a cluster sometimes because I get in the heat of the match. It's always good to have those reminders now and again. GGs to the participants and heckin yes for this series.
Super series!!
I love Oni, but I'm terrible with his power. Any killer where i have to intentionally look the wrong way during chase to pull off the move I need (oni's wall-running and semi-blind flicks, and also blight's bounce moves) I'm just terrible at. I am really looking forward to custom bots in stable branch so i can practice Oni's wall running and flicks in a low pressure setup without long queue times. I LOVE this series!
This is a cool concept killer can be a tricky thing to get into and giving people advice while they play is cool and when those bots get added will help as well hopefully we see more players trying killer.
heres a tip, if you go against 4 solos, gens will go slow/ok.
If you go against a 4 man swf, they will probably go fast.
That's it.
It's been that way for years.
Oni is one of my worst killers to go against as survivor. I had a ton of fun practicing against him here. Pressure is very important as killer, that's something that isn't talked about a lot. Being able to defend hooks is very powerful and a great way to get a lot of pressure. However, sometimes there are times where hooking far away is also good, as it will force survivors to make a lot of distance quickly, they'll have to come out of hiding/safety to save their teammates.
One tracking tip I can give is think of spots that are safe where survivors might be resetting, look there when you can't find anyone. Playing survivor can help with this, too, as you'll know those spots. I can say that is one thing we were doing; going to areas where we knew we would be okay at least long enough to heal up, etc.
But really, I'm just there to give my fellow Felix simps some eye candy. Also sorry again about the crash at the end.
1.) Don't be afraid to tunnel! This doesn't necessarily apply to this game, but if you need someone out of the game then do it! Everyone does it, Otzdarva does it, Ohtofu does it, everyone.
As long as you aren't being toxic about it, and just doing it strategically.
I think one of his mistake with oni is stoping to get orbs when there is no need to do it, like at the beggining of the match mid chase he was catching red orbs and there was no need to do that, he lost a bit of time in that chase just by doing that. After hooking yui he went to a corner of the map to get more orbs when he could just go after a survivor to get those without losing time in a corner with no gens. So a tip for playing oni is paying atention to his ability, if it is on the bottom left corner there is no need to get orbs if you have a free hit on a surv. Also try not to lose time getting red orbs mid chase if it won't fill your power.
Id love to get advice from you
but imo we can't always blame ourselves either…if we were all perfect, there would be no game at all. dunno if i'm explaining well. but sometimes u have NO chance to protect gens
Don’t mind me, just studying for the next boot camp 😬🥰
I run info perks on Oni. Floods of Rage, Bitter Murmur (really good on Oni because of using his ability when a gen gets completed), BBQ, etc. Info on Oni, for me, is just as important as info on Huntress or Nurse.
I wish all my games were against lemmings like these. He gets 3 hooks at 4 gens and then at the end 2 survs dies to the timer. Also only 2 DH.
