I get why blood lust is in the game. I think anything past BL 1 is a bit much, but that's just my opinion. What's yours?

If you get a Killer to Bloodlust 3 you have bought so much time for your team to do generators you have no room left to complain.

with certauin killers it's better to break the pallet or chase, this one was on the ghostie. That specific pallet and the one above the bathroom are god pallets for survivors lmao especially a good looper, well the whole map is full of them lmao. The game is not a map u wanna tryna and blood lust around a pallet or even mindgame, ur forced on that map to break it which I don't find fair. Same way survivors have to change playstyles depending on killers, it's only fair for a map to make the killer change up their style.

Didn't they test a weekend without it? And it went as poorly as you'd expect. Survivors would send themselves to loop heavy maps with chain pallets/windows where at least bl1 would be needed and inflate chases obnoxiously. I personally don't use bloodlust much but i can see its reasoning for being around.

Bloodlust should be buffed even more, I think it should give you a pallet breaking speed bonus so it would motivate killers to break a pallet, right now breaking a pallet only makes you weaker because you lose this whole bloodlust you gained and the survivor just goes to the next pallet

Somehow the ghostface caught you……I'd say its alright however there's some killers who heavily rely on blood lust and waste time by simply not kicking the pallet kinda like what the ghostface did here. Yes, blood lust is needed. Behavior removed it completely because of some bullshit testing and survivors were literally running into infinites where the killers couldn't catch them.

Bloodlust is a bad designed mechanic. There's absolutely no way that a mechanic that rewards players for playing badly is a fine idea, and the fact that it seems like it is, means it's actually invisibilizing a flaw in game's design, which is the real deal here. Bloodlust is completely unfair for the other side, this being the survivor, as it feels punished for playing too good as a consequence. Meanwhile, there hasn't been a real tunnelling-preventing mechanic since the game was released.
This clip in particular is pretty dumb because Ghosty is actually not hitting you on purpose, like if he wants to show how fast he can go or something. Guys like (n0tS0)TrU3Ta1ent are just making fun of themselves, hence the hatred, by tweeting things like "breaking pallets should be an option" hinting that Bloodlust is needed for balance purposes, completely ignoring that pallets are one of the few resources survivors have, thus the game being designed around them. So there'll be pallets that you "can" break, and pallets that you "must" break. I mean, what's the point of having pallets if every killer "should" have the option of just ignore them?
Then again, you CAN speak about game design at your own will. That doesn't mean you SHOULD. On the contrary, if you don't know anything about game designing, you MUSTN'T.

Hello, to not get blood listed on this pallet you should have shift teched. This is a really safe pallet that can’t really be mind-gamed on vaults, so what you should’ve done is keep vaulting, but after the vault let go of shift so that he could not keep bloodlusting you.
Still could have kept going too. Just made that last mistake to vault again.

I think bloodlust is fine. It's an intentional catchup mechanic, that requires you to waste a lot of time just to get a guaranteed down. If you're up against specific setups anyways, bloodlust won't even get you a guaranteed down. And honestly, it's a 1v4 game so the 1v1 aspect should be more in favor of the killer in some ways anyways. Just my opinion though.
I really believe blood lust needs to be slightly reworked so that it BENEFITS the killer more and is more reasonable in chase. For example I don’t think you should lose all blood lust when breaking a pallet while in chase. The killer is still in chase, he only broke pallet to continue chase so he should only lose 1 tier of blood lust not all of it. I get so irritated when all my work chasing the survivor gets completely denied when they pre drop a pallet. it does make sense however to lose all blood lust when stunned. its so silly

I think only bloodlust 1 is fine. It helps if say someone is just holding forward and to catch up. But you shouldn't be rewarded for refusing to kick safe pallets
Let's not forget that bloodlust was introduced into the game to catch up to survivors who were using god windows. But now there are breakable doors also the entity blocks the windows after 3 vaults so really there is no point in still having bloodlust in the game
Bloodlust needs to be in the game because some loops in the maps would become infinites for some killers, especially with builds like Bloodpact, Power of two and Dark Theory alongisde Hope. By the time you get BL3 you shouldve lost 2 gens as a killer so long as your team mates dont hide in lockers the second they hear a terror radius anyway so its not broken

I feel like any chase should end with the killer downing the survivor and the skill of the survivor should should only dictate the time it takes not if he goes down or not. With that in mind I think BL atm is fine , not overpowered that it ends any chase extremly fast but also not not letting the chase go on forever.
