So it looks like the entity has finally noticed the work of the observer and thus has gotten Billy to put him through some sort of game. So my guess is that we learn how this game goes through the tome story?

I think you misinterpreted the trailer. To me it looks like the entity is taking the form of Billy the puppet (something the creature from IT could do, who was inspiration for the entity) giving the observer a hint of how to escape from the entity, saying all he needs to do is stop looking through the archives. To me though, this also sounds like the entity might also be trying to stop the observer from looking too much into the past because he might also be close to finding a way to defeat the entity.

I think the reason being this licensed trailer directly affecting the DBD lore is that The Entity might see John Kramer as a much lesser form of it due to both their love for games. Setting up an entire game board and watching it unfold over and over again

That was, seriously, a cool trailer even without the sounds. Just the image of a giant Billy puppet sprouting out Entity legs was a fantastic shot. I also like how The Observer is now slowly gaining more and more age as the trailers progress. I'm excited for this Tome and I'm not even a fan of the Saw franchise. I just hope that we could possibly get Kramer doing the voice work whenever he reads Amanda's and Tapp's lore and even, possibly, Hello Zepp being apart of Pig's chase music. 🙂

I'd love to see John as a playable character. It probably wouldn't make sense if he was a killer, since he uses his machines for the greater good. Maybe as a Detective Tapp Legendary.

yo fan theory but Vigo might just be the observer i mean he was an inventor and his little thing he keeps around he might have invented it to keep him safe but the entity might have found a work around and begin playing around with the observer/vigo using billy the puppet.
