Top 3 BEST Beginner Survivor Builds in DBD 2021 [Dead by Daylight Guide]

Hi! In this DBD perk build video, I go over the top 3 best beginner survivor builds for all of the new DBD players, or experts looking for a quick and easy to get build that is super effective!

These builds are “beginner-friendly” because they are very accessible. They use all free perks, each build only has 1 survivor’s teachables and the rest are general perks, and the perks chosen are easy to use/understand!

For each build, I explain why I chose each perk to be in that build, and then break down why the 4 perks work well together in that build.

Timestamps:
0:00 – Intro
1:16 – #3 Objective Dwight
4:52 – #2 Speed Bonus Claudette
7:44 – #1 Altruistic Meg
11:06 – Outro

  1. This video is a little longer than my usual build videos because I wanted to make sure I thoroughly explained what each perk does for the beginners!

P.S. I know self-care on the 2nd build might be a REALLY hot take, but self-care has other good uses too: it's immune to Franklin's Demise and you can also use it as an easy failed skill check to distract the killer or wake up from the dream world against Freddy 🙂

  2. Great vid as always, Sh6rp ! For the people looking to be altruistic, I would also recommend trying to run We'll Make It with Empathy on Claudette, so that you can quickly get to injured survivors and get the most of this great healing perk.

  3. I always thought that equipping both Resilience and Self Care in the same build was stupid cause Self Care would essentially negate the bonus you get from Resilience if you heal yourself, but your explanation really put some things in perspective.

You’re right that it would be a better goal to not allow yourself to be one shot the whole trial especially as a beginner, so making use of Resilience to quickly heal yourself when injured is actually really smart and something I’ve never considered before.

I guess if I really wanted to run a Resilience focused build I would just use No Mither but that’s not exactly beginner friendly 😅

    Another great video!

  4. I'd switch Claudette with David, David has wglf and dead hard. Wglf for leveling up survivors faster and dead hard for extending the chase. I don't think dead hard is too complicated. Also self-care can throw games.

  5. Hey I’ve been recently watching your videos and wanted to ask if not such a big favor or whenever you have time if you could make team builds video and solo que videos (most solo builds are easy to find so just more team builds are harder)

  6. Another build I really like is Ace with Plunder's Instinct, Ace in the Hole, Open Handed and Kindred, mostly cause it makes Kindred even more useful, and you also get to get some really good items out of chests. Loved using it when I was working my way toward prestiging with him.
