Read more Dead by Daylight ➜ https://deadbydaylight.mgn.tv

Hey everyone, and welcome back to this second instalment for Dead by Daylight Easter Eggs. I’ll be honest there really aren’t that many Easter Eggs in the game. A lot of them I feel are more secrets and references – which is why I made both an Easter Eggs video and a secrets and refences one, as well as the unused content one. This video is going to list five more Easter Eggs, some of them you probably know and some others, hopefully not. Let’s get into it.

This video is as of Chapter 18! The new perks, killer, survivor and map reworks have been released! We are now in 2021 : ) The 4.5.0 mid-chapter patch is out and we’re in the midst of the new UI and survivor movement.

Hope you enjoy!

  1. The entity I do not think is female, since in Spanish it is read as "feminine" as "la entidad", but for example, Myers in the game is told the form, but in Spanish it is still read as feminine, "la forma".

  2. This is what it says on the Wiki about the Entity being female, I think I may have just described it poorly. Hopefully this makes more sense:
"The Entity is often designated as of female gender.

This is due to the French language, mother tongue of most of the Developers, neither possessing a gender-neutral pronoun nor a grammatical neuter.

The Entity's original French name, "L(a)' Entité" is a feminine noun and the Developers have been known to refer to The Entity with feminine pronouns in English as well."

  3. Sorry, but the part were you say the entity's gender is female because of the female noum in french is a little wrong. In french, as well as in portuguese (my mother tongue) noums have a famale or male adjective based purely on the adjective, not being correlated to the sex or gender of the noum. For example: in portuguese you can say "a entidade" – the entity (a being a female adjective whilo "o" is male) and the entity could still have a masculine gender. Still, loved the video!

  4. I actually saw the midwich secret room in normal gameplay by complete accident. I was the first done with a gen, the chem lab one, and then someone finished the music room. I saw the killer acting weird in the courtyard, so I came out and saw the little thing

  5. the three recognisable notes in the opening song are actually part of the Latin sequence Dies irae (roughly meaning day of reckoning or day of judgement) it’s very famous in films as they often use it to symbolise death

  6. Actually in French every words have male or female pronouns for no reason and for the words entity it's just as a female pronouns
For example a boat in French for talking we basically say a male boat not literally but kinda and that's same case for the entity, it's not the entity who is a female it's word "entity" who is female in French

  7. i don't know if spanish works the same as french but in spanish we got our words gendered, so each word's adjetives and conjugations will change according to their gender. for example "house" (casa) is a feminine word, so when we say "the house" we just say "la casa" (la being the femenine form of the). in spanish entity is also gendered as femenine so i bet the same thing happens with french, it's not that the entity in dbd has a gender, it's just that the word entity is like that

  8. It wasn't actually Nea that burned down Crotus Penn, it was the nurse. She has a matchbox addon, and while it says it's full with buttons, it can be implied that she killed everyone inside the asylum and then burned it down.

  9. Sorry dude the last one is wrong I stay near the devs and the reason the put a female pronoun is cuz u don’t have a choice in French some words r just masculine and some r just feminine thus the word entity in French is only a feminine word wow I sound like a nerd

  10. Related to the last easter egg about how the entity punishes those who don't do as they're told, if you look at Bubba's addons one of them is named "The Beast's marks." and the description reads as follows: "Jagged marks cover the Chainsaw's body, punishment from the dark beast that lives in The Fog. Memories of violent reprimands fill its holder with the fear of failure."
Suggesting that Leatherface has tried once to resist the entity in some way, and was punished for it.
