From what I've seen so far Trickster power is only to be used when out in the open or super close. One has to adapt to his power rather than just say he is straight trash.

Tru looks like he's hating life right about now. Looking at his old games, and these, he's really just going through the motions, and has for a while 🙁 Its understandable, I just wish he could find another game to revive his spirit that also paid the bills like dbd, so he could have a break.
The worst about Trickster is that there's so much stuff they could have made to make him more viable or at least fun. 115% speed, make laceration not go away over time. I firmly believe they should make it so that the bouncing knives are baseline, and then the addons would just be extra bounces. Probably make it so that if a knife bounces three times then it does 4 laceration damage on impact, and the absolute disgrace of the iri he has could just be extra bounces and that could be enough. Or even make it like Huntress and let you change the properties of your projectile, something like a ''spekaer knife'' that you throw on to a survivor and it starts emitting a terror radious.
