  1. Weird to think dead hard will still be meta, but I sure as hell hope it does. This change will make tracking who has dead hard much easier, rather than making every chase take 3-6 seconds longer because im pressed up behind a survivor waiting for dead hard even if they might not have it. Annoying ass perk.

  2. The devs are reeeeeeally slowly pushing all killers to straight up always tunnel and camp. Look at the changes to dead hard. Whats the incentive for hooking different people now? Look at the gen speeds. They BUFFED a gen speed perk with this patch!!! The devs are masters at making the killer playerbase look like the bad guy, when in reality, its the game's own devs that are the problem. And take note. Look at how they keep trying to stomp gen regression into the ground. They're incompetent. 'But survivors don't want long games where they have to sit on gens for long periods of time'' … Then GIVE THEM ANOTHER OBJECTIVE. Oh you can't? Your code is trash and doing that would break the game? Tough.

  3. Crazy highly improbable but not impossible results from this patch:

    – lots of players unironically become killer mains
    – more people play killers to the point that the number equals survivor players
    – new killer players start noticing killer issues and start bringing them up
    – with more people talking about it, BHVR finally decides to address them and buff killers
    – all the while, they continue to push solo survivor to be as good as SWF level
    – ????
    – game improves and becomes better

Very unlikely but a man can imagine

  4. I have watched many DBD youtubers' opinion about these changes. Though I mostly agree with them, I also see some opinions are not without bias.

I agree with what TrU3 said here, but I can also see how he favors killers more. Many survivors also complain about healing and DH nerf, and said it's killer-sided now. The community will always be like this, and we'll see how it turns out in PTB.

  5. And to respond to what you were saying about Killers not wanting to lose. Yeah. Killers need to win. Because if they don't, they get bm'ed, teabagged, all that, incessantly. It's one big vicious cycle.

  6. TBH, reading that at face value, I think DeadHard may become even more meta. The text from the Dev update doesn't mention that DeadHard can't be used when exhausted, just that it causes exhaustion. If that is the case, matches are going to be brutal.

  7. Love your content Tru3, I don't know how to explain it but the entire patch notes sound terrible to me, I'm a killer main and I feel like the gen regression nerfs were UNJUST. Dead hard is a bit nerfed and I do think it won't be meta now, I am a very shocked and quite disappointed in the healing/boon nerf, the ability to heal YOURSELF in solo was very good considering communication isn't there. The healing nerf is the one thing that bothers me on survivor entirely, if they nerfed the speed, fine! but to absolutely make it a 1 time thing and boon working only when people are around isn't that good, I doubt in solo queue or even when playing in top MMR people will heal you, especially to waste time traveling to the boon.

Playing survivor against the majority of Killers is really miserable, Tunnel/Camp, I don't know how to entirely fix this problem, but removing healing absolutely makes it more unfortunate, I played 3 games yesterday 2 out of 3 was just tunnel me off hook and hit/nod. It's really not fun, so I can empathize with survivors at this point, but I do think both sides got ran through the mud a bit for no reason

  8. What I got from this update is More of Gen rushing, DH is kinda dead, more sprint burst, “autodidact and we’ll make it “ is meta now and the devs hate pig for some reason

  9. Galaxy brain: The healing change is an autodidact buff =P

Also it might be niche but for swf groups that like to coordinate and sweat more than normal they might start making anyone using dead hard their dedicated unhookers while the others run different exhaustion perks. There is a good chance "we'll make it" will see more use if this is the case especially with the healing nerf.

Also "Make your choice" gets an indirect buff. Fuck your dead hard, I'll one shot you.

  10. This was very entertaining to watch because whilst yes, they nerfed gen regression perks, survivors got hit so much harder and yet throughout you only complained about killers lmao. Very out of touch to say the least. Think of it this way, you can't slowdown gens as much as before but now you can get downs so much easier and survivors waste so much time healing that you don't need those perks.

  11. Hmm I could see Dead Hard players pairing up with Lithe or Balanced to strengthen first chase. Dead Hard would exist as a secondary option, maybe killers would swing unsuspecting Dead Hard having seen a Lithe or Balanced play in an earlier chase. I think the effect of Dead Hard simply existing will still come into play in mid to late game

  12. I like how Dev just wrote about "survivors will crouch over to a phantasm trap and will be able to wipe it out". Like who the fuck thought this is a good idea?

Hag is already so bad at defending hooks(unless she is standing right near it with traps on as well), gens, hex totems and etc, just because her traps are easily avoidable by just crouching like wtf is that? Make it at least the minimum range at which survs can crouch near traps and if they go closer to traps, so they will be activated, even if survs are crouching

  13. It depends. As soloQ, if killer goes for chases, everyone escapes most of the time. But when playing with 4man swf with new players it's a lost match in any situation 😀 Not enough new players available to keep this game alive. Camping, sweaty ass killers etc… They didnt have fun at all so we'll stick to the custom games. You'd have to be mentally ill to start playing this game as a new player

  14. a weird question: now that Dead Hard can only be acquired by unhooking another survivor, wouldn't this lead to incentive killers to tunnel a lot more?

  15. My reactions were same as your True. I don't know what happen. Maybe one of the devs got struck by lightning and they finally got some clarity and have made some positive changes.

Now, if they could just nerf the hell out SWF players only. The game would be so much better. Solo survivor play would be better, killer play would be better. The devs should just put massive debuffs on SWF players so that it counters their ability to use comms to coordinate.

If they can just nerf only SWF players and leave the solos alone. They game health will be much better.

  16. Judging by how he reacts about survivors healing I guess he wants survivors to not be able to heal at all let's just disable all self healing and prevent other survivors from healing each other then the game might be fair to these main killers who keep crying over anything geez

  17. I knew TrU3 wouldn’t like the overzealous change but I think something everyone forgets is it’s still quicker to just do a gen than go and get overzealous and then do the gen. Unless it’s a hex but even then who is running hexes

  18. Next Update: “We’ve noticed that all killers have the ability to kill survivors, this makes it very unfun for the survivors. Because of this we have removed hooks from the game. The killers will still be able to attack and down survivors, however after 10 seconds the survivors will get back up and be able to continue playing so that everyone can have fun”

  19. The reality is tho they have nerfed healing way too much , if you are gonna nerf base healing and healing perks then you have to nerf anti healing perks, ofcourse true talent defended them on this tho because he's got a history of entitlement and biasedry as a killer , they could of easilly nerfed it to maybe 16 seconds or something like that but 24 is way to more, now the most weak side of dbd aka solo que survivor is affected the most

  20. I was like you when reading this, laughting, like "well more killer nerfs, mondays on dbd" but for once some survivor stuff where hitted too.
And for real, slowdown perks now are jolt, deadlock and pentimento, there is literally no more perks that are not nerfed into the ground.

  21. Doesnt the Dead Hard Rework incentevise Tunneling or at least chasing the unhooked survivor even more? i mean if it only activates on safe unhooks make sure they dont get safe unhooks

  22. So let’s see this patch makes the following play styles not only more popular but perhaps the only viable strategies:
    – Camping
    – Tunneling
    – Gen Rushing
Both sides lost in this patch. As someone so brilliantly once put it: “We at Behavior strive for an experience where survivors are bored and killers are depressed.”

  23. Blight and Nurse will be unbeatable for solo Q now. Legion with Sloppy will have insane snowball potential. Just land your power on all 4 once and camp. They can't unhook because mend + heal will take 42 sec and the team gets 0 gen progress in the meanwhile.
