  1. I thought alot about this and came to the conclusion that the strawman argument is actually true … depending how u look at it
I know alot of people, the community in dbd was fairly small during 2016-2018 and it took some time until cross play and stable gameplay on consoles were added.

Players in dbd are extremely entitled , only a very few people have almost 10k hours in the game like me, the average is probably around 300 – 500.

Not that i wanna pat myself on the back or anything but i can definetly assume a player with average hours wont be on the same mmr level as me.

I never use the mmr argument cuz despite my exp in the game i usually play solo queue so my mmr is probably not evem That high but presumably higher than the average joe who is the loudest in the comments.

  2. Aaaaaaaaameeeeeeeen.
I have a question, you are realatively new, right? I mean I have something in the Head you started in 2020 or so…
So were you there at the implementation of MMR?
Because I have a conspiracy Theorie of my own, that i sincerely believe is true!
Around a year or so before they introduced MMR to the Game, they announced that they wanted to hide the ranks because of all the bad talk in Social Media about it… (a typical BHVR Band Aid fix)
That had such a bad impact and response from the Fans that they scrapped that idea…
    Or did they?
In my opinion there is no MMR…
They just said they do a MMR , pretend to change it here and there…
in Reality they just turned the Ranks invisible and that is all they changed…
I go against the same mixture of good and bad players like i always did since 2017…

    What do you think?
I mean, would you believe, BHVR is capable of doint this?
I would 100%, these People will never find a good solution for any Problem that comes up^^

  3. Well ACTUALLY my mmr that I can't see is higher than yours that I also can't see, must be wrong SORRY, ur just bad 🙂

Really though, judging based on the leaks a while back and the fact they announced they lowered the soft cap so killers can get more chill games, I think a solid majority of the playerbase is "high mmr" now. Mmr is set up in a way that's similar to grades/ranks where you will eventually reach the soft cap not by being good but by just playing enough, since it never resets. And mmr has been a thing for so long now I definitely think the vast majority of players are at that softcap. Would absolutely explain why matches all feel so random with matchmaking, and why you can vs sweaty gamers one match into actual babies the next, even if you win the first.
