WELCOME TO THE OVERCHARGE META, BABY | DEAD BY DAYLIGHT KILLER BUILDS PTB

Showcasing the new insane build for wraith on the PTB using the new buffs that overcharge got, as well as a few other perks. This build was already one of wraith’s strongest builds before the patch and now it’s kind of insane. I’m fairly sure these perks are going to be meta now on most killers, and I’m excited to try more.

  1. Dead hard will still be a hindrance, but at least it's more fair now and has more fun plays.

However! They need to make it so endurance cannot stack, and if you are in deepwound then you cannot gain endurance from perks like deadhard and off the record.

Hell probably just make off the record what it was supposed to be, a stealth perk. Make it cause the user to be 100% silent and can heal with no sound and leave no scratch marks, blood trails, and show no auras

  2. So with Dead Hard, the big weakness is that it doesn't give you the speed with the distance. You still go the same distance, but you don't get there as fast. Since you can't do any other animation while using it, you can't speed to a pallet or window and get the vault/drop distance. You can tank a bit of well timed, but you can't use anything else as you will get hit.

  3. The thing with off the record meta is you can be super obnoxious until you're on dead hook and then just vanish afk gens while the other teammate repeat the same thing with off the record. What's great about the meta on killer side is that hit and run playstyle with heal/action speed slowdown is more viable in high level (which a lot of low tier killer excels at) instead of just ol plain stacked gen slowdown with lethal high tier killer. Survivor also need to use more things like botany, coh etc to counter that instead of just straight up DS DH unbreakable OTR.

  4. Call of brine with overcharge and iri mixtape on legion will be so gross at 700% regression with dragon grip as a 30 second timer with eruption for multi gens. All together a nasty build

    So Overcharge:
If they simply tap a gen the skillcheck happens AFTER they leave, but then it starts regressing since they failed and since they're no longer holding the gen it just simply continues to regress.
…I thought ya figured that out last time ya ran this perk XD

  6. The Overcharge buff is definitely too much in my opinion, especially because it's harsher on newer survivors than on experienced survivors. It's weird that they nerfed all the meta slowdown perks, just to buff other slowdown perks to their level before the nerf. Thana, Overcharge and Eruption are just going to be too much together with the gen time increase to 90 seconds.

  7. The one thing I do like about new Dead Hard is that it doesn't necessarily counter killer's power. like you cant Dead Hard through Trapper's traps or Deathslingers harpoon and so on. It's also not as effective to Dead Hard through the killer. Dead Hard for distance is still a thing but i feel like it's not as good and using it to get reach windows is much worse. I imagine Sprint Burst will get used a bit more and people will realize that it's also annoying in it's own way lol.

  8. "we heard your complaints about dh giving survivors essentially a third health state, so we went ahead and turned it into exactly that" – bhvr, probably

  9. with the over charge, they stopped the regression when they tapped the gen, but since they failed the overcharge skill check it kicked the gen back into regression but at regular regression speed instead, so it is a smart move.

  10. Sad thing is overcharge can only regresses a gen up to 25% assuming nobody touches it for 30 seconds.

After 30 seconds it's a 1 for 1 exchange where the gen loses 1 charge every second.

  11. I wonder if brutal strength is more or less worth it now post buff to pallet breaks. This might sound crazy but it might be less worth it now. We have half of it base kit now it went from base 2.6 to 2.08 iirc with brutal to now 2.34 to 1.88 iirc so from saving you .52 seconds in chase roughly to saving you .49ish seconds in chase. Granted it is still a faster kick but actually saves you just a bit less in chase for a perk slot than old brutal actually seems to have. Negligible amount maybe and still maybe worth it, but it's interesting to notice that.

  12. Speaking of how wild the perk changes are with gen speeds… Dowsey has a video with a Legion build where gens take 3 minutes. He uses than with pentimento. He also used call of brine and plaything to get his pentimento for sure. Its pretty insane. The worst part of this all is that the players who will suffer the most from these changes are once again solo survivor. Its going to be miserable. Its like forever Freddy, but on all killers now. ugh

  13. Smh I’ve been on like. 5 month break from DBD and now it seems like they just added some stupid shit in the game…. Like why do you have to hit them 3 times now? With out dead hard? Like I know it’s a perk and all and I know that you have always had to do that “sometimes” but it seems like you will have to do it more often now. I’m not a DBD hater I love DBD. But damn… I miss how the game was at the beginning of this year js. Love you tofu. I’ve stayed subbed on twitch.tv/ohtofu all threw my break. Keep up the great work tofina
