What Does Every Killer Fear the Most? (Dead by Daylight)

Hey everyone, so bit of a strange video maybe, but today we’re looking at the character’s greatest fears. An odd thing considering their role within the realm, but an interesting question, with many originally having more tragic backstories and origins to how they came to be in their current state. Others, not so much too, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try to figure out what each of these characters, who often strike fear, fear themselves. Let’s get into it.

  1. This might be a weird one but I feel like the Clown’s fear would be getting stalked and being treated how he treats others. It just seems fitting for a person like him. He’s sloppy and hedonistic, so I imagine he’s indifferent towards death and jail. He does put in the effort of making a new identity and always running away, so I think someone following him and his crime spree would be difficult for him to deal with. Traveling to a new city would no longer be a complete restart, and as a performer, he’s used to impersonal attention. Getting personal attention by a horror movie level stalker, like someone who moves and steals his things (fingers), might make him worried about his collection/‘hobby.’ He’s an impulsive killer, so it may be impossible for him to imagine himself as the victim of a careful, strategic and possible vengeful person.
More realistically I think he’d be afraid of a manhunt by detectives and dogs, though. He’d literally be sniffed out and might lose a few fingers to the same animals he used to kill. Then he’d be the fool.

  2. I 100% agree with the Hux one.

I even think it’s possible this theory is actually applicable to Hux considering his entire goal is to “assimilate” humans into his being, implying he feels incomplete/imperfect without them being apart of him, maybe implying he does subconsciously feel inferior to his creators in some way.

  3. Evan's tyrannical daddy was replaced with another one in the Entity. I figure the Doctor is afraid of losing, of coming up against an enemy he can't overcome through his skill, cunning and/or electroshock.

  4. Amanda definitely fears failing jigsaw or jigsaw not liking her in some way. She went full yandere before she died because she thought john was going to find out her secret that would make him hate her.

And the xenos absolutely fear the nest being destroyed. In the second movie the xeno queen tells the other xenomorphs to stand down and let riply go after she threatened to burn the nest with her flamethrower.

  5. Sadako may not be afraid of anything. She has become a ghost, so she is ready to release her revenge for each person, and it is unlikely to return her to the well, she has no materiality and therefore the hand will simply pass through her.

  6. I think that Amanda (The Pig) does not fear to fail jigsaw, bcs she already did it. In Saw 3 movie before she dies, Cramer said that she failed him. And if entity took her a moments before hear death, so i think that Amanda knows about John's last words to her.

  7. Knight could fear weakness in himself.
Not being able to overcome the greatest challenges, but failing for his body wouldn't be eternal without the Entity.
I just feel like the Knight's mindset is just "nobody can beat me, the Apex Predator", because he never had to fear such weakness for himself.
Seeing as his Guardia Compagnia is just a bunch of rotting dudes, barely maintaining their physical form could awake some self-awareness.

As for Doctor he could fear losing his genius to his primal killing instinct. Becoming another wild animal of the Entity, using his shocks instinctively, without thought.

  8. I think the xenomorph is incapable of experiencing fear as an individual, as they live pretty short lives in servitude of the higher-ups in the colony, i.e. the pretorians, queen and such. I remember a part in alien isolation where Waits gives Ripley's daughter the flamethrower and he says something like "it's an animal, animals fear fire". So we could say the xenomorph's greatest fear is fire.

  9. Myers biggest fear might his humanity or whatever is left of it as he would see it as a weakness. Remember when in Halloween 5 he took his mask of when his niece Jamie asked him to do so and he even shed a tear and moments later he went berserk when Jamie trie to wipe his tear away. Also losing his mask and survivors seeing his face would be pretty unpleasant for him.

  10. Nemesis does have a quantifiable fear and that’s himself. In the resident evil 3 mangas we see nemesis gaining his humanity back for a short period of time which would give him time to look at himself. Or he fears loosing his family again (yes nemesis was a normal guy before becoming the nemesis)

  11. The Executioner wouldn't have any fear, since he's effectively a tool used to dispense judgement.

A few others may be more simple in their fears: The Xenomorph would fear pain and fire, The Cenobite perhaps of the threat The Entity could pose the realm he comes from, a fair few killers will directly fear The Entity.

I dunno. I loved the possibilities, but I feel there are other interpretations of their fears that would feel equally as plausible.

  12. sadako isn’t afraid of the well. she comes out of it just fine almost every time we see her. according to the novel and first two films i’d say her greatest fear is her tape no longer being spread to tell her story and being forgotten.
