  1. I run it in every survivor build since long time ago. It helps me to see which loops have pallets still up, and not to run to loops that are used already. It provides me with more value than any other survivor perk. I always combine it with Lithe.

  2. I've been using Windows ever since the buff. I always liked it before, but never used it because of the cooldown. Now it feels so good to use. It's just nice to always have a plan when looping. Always have a direction to go. No one NEEDS Windows, but it's just nice to know if you're running to a dead-zone or not. Sometimes I even create unique loops that I would've never thought of without Windows. Don't think I'll ever take it off unless it gets nerfed.

  3. Windows is fine, I knew it was great and had been using it for a long time though I don't run it all the time now. I think it is healthy for the game as it helps newer players be able to have some idea where to go in chase so they have some chance to survive 10 seconds instead of 5

  4. Used windows before the buff and it’s still one of my favourites. It just helps a ton with looping and knowing where I can go. But it also doesn’t really do much unless you have a decentish grasp on looping. Like you have to be good at the game to get meaningful value out of it

  5. i never understood the “vets don’t get use from it” thing. tiles always spawn differently, and being able to see the routes you can link between windows and pallets BEFORE you even start chase, and without team comms telling you what pallets have been dropped, is infinitely valuable to any survivor.

  6. I've ran windows always for just this reason, I don't swf I solo killer and survivor and that's it. I need to know where to head in trouble because Dwight might have pre threw god pallet 10 seconds in. They better be smart enough to not nerf everything that's over picked and realize what's op and what's balanced so good that it's used often.

  7. I think it became meta because of the shift in perks.

Borrowed became base kit so frees up a perk slot. DS and iron will got nerfed but Off the record is basically both those 2 perks combined. Meaning you have 1 extra free slot which people will either run a gen perk or windows to help with loop or staying away from dead zones.

  8. I think it shows it's just a useful perk. Popular and OP aren't the same thing despite what the community often likes to make out, and a perk being popular because it gives good utility is a good thing, it shows it's a good perk. I don't think there's any problem with it.

  9. I never ran it before Dead Hard got reworked and Iron Will nerfed, because you didn't have to rely on precise looping, stringing tiles and buildings together etc. Windows makes it so much easier, and most importantly you know what areas to avoid if no pallets spawned there/if they've already been broken. Super underrated perk.

  10. It has been my main perk long before it was buffed and it still is. No matter how many hours you have it's an amazing perk. Even in swf you can't ask people to remeber every pallet nor can describe ones that aren't at specific locations. Even about the specific ones it consumes time which can easily make the difference between getting hit or not

  11. One of the big reasons you're seeing Windows now that hasn't been mentioned, is all the buffs to killer speed. That and the higher emphasis on aura perks and perks that hide scratchmarks, its easier to lose the killer with good looping rather than speed burst away with exhaustion perks. I don't think Windows needs to be nerfed, its good but its a pretty fair perk. And actually as it turns out we're finding out that Zanshin Tactics isn't a bad as people thought, with it being a mandatory pick on Clown. So could see killers running that more as a counter to Windows.

  12. I honestly just have to disagree that good survivors will still get value out of WoO. I’ll openly admit I’ve never been that great at survivor but even then, after so many hours of playing knowing where to go to find a loop just becomes second-nature. I don’t even think about it most of the time, I just generally know where to go.

“Oh, but what if your teammates threw all the pallets? What about exceptionally bad pallet spawns?” Then you’re in a deadzone and Windows telling you that you’re in a deadzone isn’t going to help you. All it does it tell you where to go; if where you need to go is somewhere you can’t get to in time, you’re screwed anyway.

  13. Windows is my favorite perk as a primarily solo survivor especially as someone with ADHD it helps compensate for my shit memory. Personally I don’t think it’s OP, just a nice quality of life perk especially now that solo queue has been nerfed so heavily
