Why isn't anti-aliasing a game setting yet? | Dead by Daylight

Seriously, it doesn’t take you over a year to put a basic graphics setting, like Anti-Aliasing into the game. Why isn’t it in the game yet? What is taking so long? I’m genuinely starting to get frustrated. It was mentioned on their Q&A stream a year ago that it would be coming into the game, yet here we are!

  1. It's pretty interesting how they can completely change the layout of the settings and add options like disableing the hook counter and names, but cannot add a simple option to disable anti-aliasing…

  2. Wdym Tata, turning off anti-aliasing obviously give players a huge advantage, now people can see 1 pixel of a player because the edges are smooth. Don't all players do this when turning off anti aliasing?

(If someone couldn't tell, I'm joking)

  3. The reason this is "taking so long" is because they don't care about the health of the game, nor do they actually respect their fans. In reality, they could really just not give less of a crap about features that they falsely promise would be implemented, and they care even less about the community. To them, they see us as a gateway to more money because people are suckers that'll buy up this piece of crap, broken shovelware.

As pessimistic as this sounds, Tat, this probably is the closest thing to the truth. The developers of the game are either pretty inept at their job, or just don't care (especially the likes of the lead developers). The lack of real communication, the lack of quality of life updates and bugfixes people ask for, the fact that they can hotfix the game but choose not to hotfix it when the community needs them to on glaring issues (like the solid, invisible hatch bug), really goes to show how much the developers actually care about their community. I'm sure there are some developers of this game that do care, but I also am certain that the lead developers/game directors of the game just don't.

It doesn't take long for any normal, functional, completely fine game to implement a feature, yes.
But for a game like Dead by Daylight, being the coding disaster it is, it would probably crash the game. This game is literally built on the same coding foundation as Yandere Simulator; it's spaghetti, it can't handle things normal games can.

  5. I really want cross progession in dbd Since I wanna cross progress my
PlayStation account And sync it into Pc Since I want to play dbd on pc now but I have all nice skins and my rift skins on their they gonna do this shit sooner but sadly they might not do it since the devs don’t care and want money. PlayStation should have the feature on pc where you can adjust the Setting ultra medium Low high 🙁

  6. same thing with rank rewards they said they were going to do it and there were leaks about it and its such a simple addition to make the game more rewarding and they dont have something as simple as that in the game

  7. This isn't an issue of it causing bugs or issues, this is pure laziness. You can go into the engine file and add the line "r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=0" and it'll remove anti-aliasing. This isn't a difficult thing to implement, they just don't care.
