Why was Every Realm Chosen by the Entity? (Dead by Daylight)

Read more Dead by Daylight ➜ https://deadbydaylight.mgn.gg

Hey everyone, today we’re going to talk about why each of the different realms or maps were chosen by the Entity. The Entity is pretty picky about what gets into the realm, so I kinda thought, why is it any different for the maps and the different realms? Why exactly is each realm and map here, what’s their purpose and how do they make the realm more effective? Let’s get into it.

Chapter 23 has been announced! It’s Ringu, a licensed chapter releasing in March of 2022. For now we have no details.

  1. In case you didn't catch the community post, update here:
Hey everyone, starting today I'm going to be taking a break until the end of the year. I'm feeling quite exhausted, and need a bit of a rest. There might be a few videos, but nothing as consistent as the usual schedule. I want to thank you all for a great 2021. We started the year with about 3k subs, and are ending it with over a hundred more than that, so thank you <3 I truly do appreciate all the comments, likes, subscriptions, and your viewership as a whole. So, again, thank you : )

Have a good Christmas and New Years, and see you in 2022!

  2. Sticking the oni's statue in the estate could also serve as a constant reminder of what Kazan is now. The thing he despises literally became part of his family and he can't do anything about it.

  3. Interesting take, but all this falls apart when you realise that a killer can be in realms not connected to them, the same for survivors.

The entity needs to create space for the trials to exist, it does that by using the memories of survivors and killers. Since it uses memories, there's of course going to be significant bonds to those places by default, but that's just a happy accident (for the entity that is).

I'd argue a feeling of unfamiliarity is more powerful when it comes to generating fear.

  4. It's so insane to me that we never got the iconic cabin in the woods from Evil Dead when Ash was added to the game. The most demented and disturbing place that BELONGS in the Entity's Realm! Either that or Walmart.

  5. Correction: David Tapp didn’t die at the meat plant, he died in the tunnels of the nerve gas house on his way to the infamous Bathroom. The Meat Plant and the Bathroom chosen for Amanda because they remind her of when she was happiest as John’s apprentice and how it all went wrong. The Bathroom is actually located directly beneath Amanda’s workshop, meaning Amanda can probably smell Adam Stanheight’s (fake) rotting corpse from her workshop. Unending cycle of guilt and wrath for Amanda.

  6. I guess this is why we didn't get the hardware store from ghostface's trailer

Although this makes me wish we got more survivor oriented maps, would be very messed up seeing a massive killer roaming your empty hometown and all your loved ones not being anywhere to be seen

  7. I know what you said about haddonfield and springwood is definitely right, but what if it’s also like Holy Ground for Ghostface giving him more passion and drive because in the scream universe those movies are famous and everyone loves them

  8. Of all killers who I'd imagine just wouldn't even care at all for the locations and not even acknowledge it on an emotional level, Nemesis would be the highest one on that list. He's programmed to just hunt and kill his targets, and anyone that gets in his way; assuming that since he obeys the entity (hooking survivors), I find it best to imagine that the Entity has reprogrammed him with magic or whatever to see all survivors as members of Stars.
