Doubt it's going to happen to any other companies. Especially with horror ones. They aren't really making much money so they get a good amount of money from selling licenses
It makes no sense… Someone would play the DbD game, play as the Stranger Things characters or Ash from Evil Dead, get excited and want to play more Stranger Things and Evil Dead, and bang, free advertising for your games. You remove them, it leaves a bad taste in the mouths of DbD fans, "Oh, this Stranger Things game is the reason Demo was removed from DbD, because of that I'm definitely not going to support or give it a chance."
Netflix can go to hell for pulling that stunt on us, and their own "game" as well

Tbh I don't really think a lot of other chapters owners will want them out of DBD. DBD so far is and probably will be the only horror game that actually has a lot of famous games/films killer and survivor characters for the nearest future. That's what makes it unique

I feel like about F13 the game that the only reason they didn't want Jason in dbd at that time was because they needed to critically focuse for the time being on adding more content. ( I may be wrong correct me if I am)

Personally I highly doubt it. Most of the license holders seem pretty chill with their products in Dead by Daylight (even Capcom despite having their own, albeit now dead 4v1 title) this'll likely just be a one time thing, and even then, it's Netflix being idiots with their gaming bollocks (in which we can only hope it fails so they crawl back to Behaviour)
Uhm, I'm pretty sure with the Ash thing, that's not not how licencing works, unless the licence holders of the actual movies are creating the game

Nightmare on elm street chapter is the remake version not apart of the original franchise I think that’s why bhvr avoided adding the Robert England version of Freddy so they could avoid the problem

I literally never heard of Ash vs Evil Dead until I played DBD. Seeing the Shape made me watch Halloween. And I only watched Stranger Things long after I was playing DBD with my girlfriend who suggested we give the series a try. As far as I can tell, pulling license is only a greed move… and not a clever one at that.

I think a smart thing they could do to sell some extra copys is to do a cross over with DBD and get cosmetics if not DBD characters in it as a DLC

the nightmare license is not an issue. dbd is a canadian company so the game falls under international licensing and stays with warner
