People with aphantasia must have a hard time visualizing hitboxes like these, since the game doesn't do a good job of indicating them at all.
God this music sucks ass
4:28 he was given the cheat code so early on
CoconutRTS also released a video which highlighted that you can also do a horizontal swing similar to Nemisis
It would be really nice if they gave players some debug commands, like showing hitboxes of objects or attacks. It'd make it a lot easier to test things out and know what will and won't work. That said I'm sure there's a reason they haven't, but man it'd be nice.
Alien chase music has Ghostface washer chase music vibes.
Ghost face: "My previous terror radius music was the most annoying"
Xenomorph: "Hold my washing machine alarm!"
So like, how does the hitbox work?
the little green man in the corner going along with the chase music lol
That is so damn cool! This is the kind of killer I like for DBD. Low skill floor so anyone (my dumb ass) can pick up and play them, but with a high skill ceiling so people can constantly learn cool things about them! Singularity had too high of a skill floor, Skull Merchant and Knight had a too low skill ceiling. THIS is right in the sweet spot, I love it!
I honestly don't like most of the latest chase themes. They all sound like broken printers (ugly sounds are great for horror themes but the composer needs to understand that it's a song we'll constantly hear throughout a 10-15 minutes game)
i went to get some food then when i came back and unpaused the video i heard this 6:45
what.
I don’t think the composer gave up, he’s just gimmicky. Like the Trickster’s theme being all screams. Sure it’s a neat idea that plays to the killer really well, but imo it doesn’t make good music in the slightest. Same with an alarm as a chase theme.
sot bond i thought this was the first video but you retitled it so i didn't watch it until now
cross hair when
maybe that's like pinhead's chain, but way faster
Dredge has the best chase theme in the game imo: it's dynamic, it meshes with his environmemtal sounds seamlessly, and it was HORRIFYING. Wesker's chase music was never horror-like, but it was definitely music and had a lotta effort put into it. Then we got Ghostface's washing machine, Knight's drone, Skully's drone (lol), Singularity's beep beep (I like the beep beep, but it isn't like this is a musical score), and whatever this windshield wiper thing is. What happened!?
If you describe Ghostfaces chase music as a washing machine. Aliens sounds like wipers on a card that need replaced.
this video is proof that scott's viewers are terrible at this game, took them 16 whole minutes to finish a game smh
Its funny because they did the same music alarm mistake with singularity skull lady and demogorgon back in the days
If they had used like, the actual alarm it’d make the chase music sound less like a washing machine I think. The alarm from the movie is an actual alarm with each tone being a constant held note. No fade-in/fade-out.
The fade-in and fade-out are what kills the music I think.
If I'm right, the tail hit box for datamined on twitter, and it works kinda like nemie's tentacle in that is starts at the base, then quickly shoots out. That being said, it should be possible to aim over an object, then drag down to hit the survivor
7:13 omg do it :O
Studying this video likes it’s fucking homework WHAT IS THIS TAIL
The chase "music" is indeed rather bad from what little I've heard of it.
Thanks for the video Scott.
Man, this washing machine chase music is irritating.
Bruh the window wipper chase theme
went from using machines for music to walruses
Forget that I’m fine with the tail just give me undetectable in runners mode
you actually guide and trace the tail but you can't see the path it takes
if there's a visual tracer you can easily do it
