  1. bro people in the comments are really saying this addon isn't fun like it's broken, many tiles it's not gonna matter unless you waste loads of time trying to shut down the loop as well as directly hitting the survivor whos running the tile. this shit is only that good when out positioned and any killers gonna be hard when out positioned

  2. TL; DR at the end

IMO the real problem is the crying for nerfs because "I'm not having fun". In PvP games when someone doesn't not play to lose the losing end will inevitabely have a bad time. Problem is that nerfing is an ugly thing and rarely puts things back in line, unlike buffing. Nerfing based on feelings is basically asking to ruin a game. For example if the clown had something more than hinder and speed up (and I guess a soap filter) but was more based on building up debuffs, there wouldn't be the need for a band aid. Other than that the concept of RNG add-ons is not exactly balance friendly. I acknowledge stuff like compound 33 or insta heal medikits, but even then I don't like to call for nerfs. An example of nerfs done bad is the wraith nerf and billy nerf; examples of nerfs done properly are the old flashlight in 2016-2017, the legion moonwalk and the BNP. Yes I know I cited more survivior's nerf than killer's but these are the first that came to mind and I do not want to implicate anything.

TL; DR We as a community should not cry for nerfs because something isn't fun, nerfs are to be used only when it's not possibile to buff other things to the same level because there would be a powercreep but they still needs to be regulated. Good nerfs are difficult to do and it's more likely that if the nerf's object isn't busted it switches from strong to garbage. Not everything is created equally, some concept are better than others.

  3. Not sorry but this game is completely survivor sided from dropping hooks to flashlights to pallets and windows everything is tailored to the survivor 1 v 1 the killer should always be stronger the 1 v 4 is already atrocious the chases are survivor sided 80% of the time by the time you catch one person 1-2 gens are done and then you could get pallet dropped or stunned some kind of way where you dont even get the hook because there are so many options the survivors have boons have made it even worse an entire team can heal without helping eachother or pick themselves up with no help as many times as they want sure you can snuff the boon but it doesn’t break they can just put another one but killer hex’s are gone once the totem breaks or is blessed unless you have ruin but even then you can get the hex a max of 2 times survivors have no limit to the amount of times a boon can be placed sure it takes a second but if there are 2 people on gens and one being chased you have plenty of time to place them without losing anything while the killer doesn’t have this kind of luxury in any way

  4. I actually laughed outloud everytime Tru3 said

    "I have a full anti-gen build"

Lol I'm like mate, you have a single anti-gen perk Deadlock that's it. 🤣

An actual anti-gen build would be 4 perks that either regress or delay gens, not 1. He has an anti-gen perk with an end game build.

Edit: I do agree and have been saying as well it's only a matter of time before pinky finger gets a nerf. I don't think they'll nerf his aura reading as that's not that strong in and of itself but having the ability to carry up to 7 insta-down bottles will eventually get "a balance change" if enough killers start using it effectively.

Right now almost nobody plays clown so it's flying under the devs radar but if it gets adopted more they'll take away the insta down or severely reduce his bottle capacity to like 3 bottles or some asanine number. It's definitely not "easy" to hit a bottle, and unlike huntresses he HAS to be basically up your butt to land a hit but being able to carry 5 at minimum up to a max of 7 means there's literally no penalty to just chucking bottles until you land one and the devs will always remove things that favor killer.

  5. I feel like this add-on is a dull way to play, I dislike it functionally, but it's primarily what Clown needs to stand a chance;

Killers need buffed, specific ones not as a whole. We have too many killers that are far weaker. Why would you play Clown over Nurse? Pig over Leatherface? A big thing is that killers need to stop having their powers work against them for god sake. Why does Clown need to wait for his yellow smoke to activate? Why isn't the weird delay on his switch fixed? Why is Trapper able to step in his own traps to stun him? Why is his traps and Pigs' RNG based?

Maps also need reworking. Survivors need the validity that hiding works, but maps like all the of the farm maps make it so readily available and breaks a lot of a killer's sightlines, they're bad. A lot of maps are too large, as it stands, for the killer to cross it. Killer already struggles managing four toddlers of survivors, it's made worse when they're spread out very far apart and you as the killer, even if you're 115% and worse if you're 110%, to chase after them because not all of them have maneuverability in their power.

Objectives need reworked, survivor is also pretty boring when it comes down to brass tacks. The joke is run around in a circle and throw a pallet, better survivors go through learning the ropes to preserve the pallet and not throw it after getting hit, prolonging survivability for everyone else to do gens at the same time. Devs don't want gens to be longer, which I agree, gens are fucking boring and take way too long, they need multiple different objectives that demand different things and can make survivors move around, more than likely to the killer's benefit…

None of these things are going to happen, the Devs prove they're terrified of anything and all of the game's problems are so deeply rooted that it seems anything behind a band-aid fix or two will never happen. Secondly, the BHVR as a whole does NOT listen to their community whatsoever, I've been impressed and interested in the suggestions of the community and just shrug my shoulders because I know it will never see the light of day.

Dead by Daylight is just doomed to be unbalanced.

  6. No idea what you are talking about, but here's some info. Out of 20 afterpiece tonic bottles thrown, you've managed to hit 50 procent of those with pinky finger addon. In other words, 1 out of 2 encounters you shouldve had 50 procent chance to expose and down. You didn't. You started to complain how bad your gen defence build is, but around 4 min mark, while you still had 4 gens up, you had a soft camp where you lost 45 seconds not pressureing gens. 6 min, 2 gens, 7 min 20, 1 gen. You would complain about gens going fast if the game lasted a half hour i would reckon. You played with the strongest addon for the clown and still complained. I agree dbd has problems, but this match certainly didn't show its flaws.

    A killer Main

    ps. Stop complaining so much

  7. True, I don’t see how you why you keep using the gen argument when it’s so flawed. Obviously there was 3-4 gens done because you’re chasing 1 survivor at a time, even if it was done quickly, the others are obviously doing gens at an efficient rate even if they’ve done boons as well that’s arguably the only other action they wasted time on, otherwise they were very efficient and you even had 1 survivor who knew how to dodge your bottles. Why can’t killer mains just accept that some survivors or swfs are very well coordinated and efficient that they can counter even strong killers and builds. So in a killer main’s vision for a balanced game, to show that you’ve been playing well only say 1-2 gens should be done because you’re supposedly chasing so well you’ve scared the others shitless to do gens??? Like it makes no sense, the only times you come across that kind of situation is against bad/inefficient survivors. The number of gens done does not equal to the balance of the game. You say survivors are delusional but you don’t even recognise your own delusion 🤦🏻‍♂️

  8. The devs have basically said they want 2 survivors to escape every match and they consider that "balanced", more or less. So effectively, yes, they do want Killers to go into a match expecting to lose. Not that they'll ever say it THAT plainly, of course. Personally, I'm looking forward to VHS, Evil Dead, and the new Leatherboy game that was announced (cause it'll probably be something similar as well). I'm also expecting that DBD devs will just toss bot killers in at some point to help with survivor queue/wait times which are already becoming quite long from what I've heard.

  9. This is the direction the devs should go in. The killer role is supposed to be menacing, survivors are supposed to have a tough time escaping. Once you reach higher rarity add-ons they should like this especially when it comes to the red ones.

  10. This hurts my heart. Game is so lopsided in this state. Killers need some love from the devs.

I was thinkin this the other day… Have they done ANYTHING to nerf gen speeds at all since release? And I'm not talkin about killers needing to run gen slowdown all the time. With all the buffs to healing, looping, extending chases, and second chance perks.. Has anything been done to make the survivor repair objective last longer?

  11. I really want to play Killer, but I just get so anxious playing it, nowadays. I have played a good few fantastic matches. But some, have just given me this huge dread playing it.

I have thought of what you said to me though, in one stream, Tru3, that I should try focusing on bloodpoints, rather then the objective, to try and get over that anxiety playing Killer…

but I just haven't gotten around to even try to get over it. This sure looks like fun, though! Then again, I think we all know that certain survivor teams are quite strong, and or even mean towards the killer, which is where all this started in the first place.

I'm going to try, but I'm not certain I'm going to be able to get over that dread, lmfao

  12. I've been playing since Nemi's release, *every single change*, including map availability but excluding Plague's rework, has been survivor sided.

It honestly baffles me, especially that I play the janky console version of DBD, that the KILLERS can be bullied and destroyed like this. I have never seen a horror game where the threat, stops being a threat constantly.

As a Wraith main, EVERY SINGLE MATCH, I have to hard tunnel 1 or 2 players and slug the last 2 for a 4k, almost no exception.

It really saddens me that nearly 6 years ago, one of this game's killers was something that I based my channel name on, from watching Tru3 play it. It was that fun to watch and the atmosphere was so lively and different, none of these second chance perks or boons, just plain old fun killer gameplay. Now it's become a straight up bully simulator, with no signs of an end. Tragic.
