10 Killer Perks that Completely Failed in Dead by Daylight

Hey everyone, today I wanted to discuss some more perks that completely failed in their purpose. Perks that were to fulfil a role but ultimately just don’t achieve what they are aiming to do. They aren’t necessarily all going to be bad either, they just fail at what they are meant to be. This is just my opinion of course. Really, perks don’t have a designated purpose, so this is of course always up for debate whether they do fulfil their role or not. This time around we’re looking at killer perks.

  1. I wish Dark Devotion worked when hitting any survivor with a cooldown, that'd be sick. Also i've been watching your vids for as long as these lists were going on 2x speed, i put it on normal this time and it's like i'm listening in slow motion now lol

  2. Ironically, you were playing perhaps the only killer that could use Beast Of Prey effectively. On Ghostface, survivors will throw a chase trying to break what they think is your Nightshroud, letting you get free hits by just following a survivor like a bot.

  3. Imo, you totally missed the mark with shattered hope. Circle pf healing was never OK, cause it provided an infinite number of value – perk remained a huge problem up until it was hard nerfed in 6.7.0. The real reason to shattered hope’s failure is it’s instability.
Even when boons were at their strongest and were everywhere, you could have a game with zero boons in your lobby, or a boon was never placed – or you just never had the time to find and crush it, let alone do that multiple times. Shattered hope basically turned to be an alternative to an empty perk slot in most games.

Nevertheless, a great video, the type of content I love this cannel for. Something unique and fresh!

  4. Dark Devotion may not be a great perk… but it's a very fun perk. If you pair it with another stealth perk, you can confuse the hell out of enemy teams, and it's great. I don't think I've ever made a team more confused than when I used Dark Devotion, Trail of Torment, Plaything, and Monitor & Abuse. Not a powerful build, but it sure as hell gets some reactions!

  5. Okay admittedly, Beast of Prey is awful for all killers except Onryō, survivors will think she's demanifested but actually she still on you. Works wonders on T L walls. Try it sometime

  6. The advantage to playing with off-meta or failed perks might is people don't expect it. When the obsession gets injured in one of my bear traps miles away and I get random stealth on my way to a gen, survivors don't know what hit 'em. Add in Grim Embrace for maximum shenanigans and annoy the hell out of teams who were thiiiis close to clinching 😀

  7. Dark devotion is actually fairly good believe it or not use it with perks that swap the obsession like game afoot so even if they are on guard it doesn’t matter it also gives you unique build ideas
