Here’s the survivor version of this video

I disagree with the Lightborn tip. I know that's the popular opinion and it's accepted as fact. But as someone who's played a very good portion of their 6500+ hours on DbD as killer, it's a myth in my experience. There is a caveat to why I say that though.
If you continue to play as you normally would and putting yourself in positions to get blinded successfully, like breaking a pallet or picking up someone out in the open with nothing to stop a beam to the face, then yeah, survivors will catch on and no longer attempt to save and increase their time on gens. But if you forego that pallet break that will set you up to reveal your Lightborn hand, if you still look around before picking someone up out in the open, if you face walls while picking up, if you continue to look immediately up or down when someone attempts a blind, I guarantee that the value of the perk skyrockets.
Because all of that denies a confirmation to the survivor. Preventing a solid lock on the face from the beam means preventing the survivor from being able to see the beam not narrowing like it would when a killer is actually being blinded.
I've done this even against squads that would have beamers when I load into lobby, they switch to someone else, and then last second switch back to the characters with beamers. It works consistently unless I accidentally provide that moment of confirmation for them, which does happen every now and then.
So that's what my tip would be when it comes to Lightborn. Play as if you don't have it equipped and don't put yourself in a position that would confirm otherwise. That includes not flexing the fact you have it while carrying a survivor and there's still 5 gens up.
Is anyone gonna talk about how he started flying at 8:10
#1 stop using lightborn, me: ”No, I don’t think I will”
Counterpoint: what if there are no walls or the walls have holes in them
So we just gonna ignore the no clipping deathslinger?
I love lightborn and use it a lot, I've got some advice to hide the fact you have it is simply pretending you don't. Look away from beams, try not to get pallet flashed until much later, make them think you don't have it so you can get the milage out of their wasted time. True, it may be wasting a perk slot for something much better, but if you play on console like I do it's much more difficult to just continuously dodge lights.
With Pentimento on Trapper, you can very easily trap the totems with your bear traps.
Is that the fov shadow born gives you?
If so.. I might… have to try it out…
2 seconds into the video and I hear:
“corrupt intervention is good on hit and run killers”
Meanwhile: “Boon placement noises.”
Ngl I stopped watching after this point because hit and run isn’t viable whatsoever in this current meta.
I had a plague match in the silent hill school(i dont remember th name)where I was using jolt, and I did exactly what you said, and it was beautiful how much pressure I got, they had one gen left, and they couldn't get them done because 2 of the gens were next to each other, and the last one was pretty far down the hall, but just barely in the range of Jolt.
I use pain res, jolt, stbfl, and no way out on deathslinger. For extra slowdown, rusted spike and reload speed for addons. This build I find super good for him since he is chase oriented. You cant waste an extra second to kick gens or rekindle pentimento totems. Replace no way out for an aura perk if you want to, but I win a hefty amount of my games with this build
I don't agree with lightborn, from my experience the survivors either don't understand that I have it when they fail to blind me, or they just don't care and try to use it anyway. Plus I have PTSD from all the bully squads I've faced so I pretty much feel like I always have to run it lol
Sooooo howd you jump with slinger….
Hey Kyto, please read this!
I want to use the commands from (a website you linked in one of your videos, not going to post it since YT will remove it), no malicious intent, I promise, just for cinematic purposes like in this video.
I'm honestly terrified of getting banned LMAO, can you tell me how to use these commands while… IDK, not getting banned?
(If anyone reads this and has an answer as well, let me know 🙂)
OFC I'll do it on a private match, not public.
3:53 mothed by an AI Jonah. shit on + L + ratio
Stfu everyone knows lihghtborn is the best killer perk in the game. You filthy survivor mains keep pushing the false narrative that lihghtborn is actually a bad perk, but you do that because you don't want killers to use it.
I'd kill for a night time dead dawg saloon. That looks really cool and seems more spooky and western
Never played dbd, still gonna watch the video though.
How do I make my game looks like this as killer? The gameplay looks so bright
clickbait and pros have already debunked your pentimento theory.
Anyone else played dbd for a long time and left. Then came back and needs to relearn the game?
Counter argument for Lightborn…
You can use it to mind game and trick survivors into downs at crucial moments. Equip it, and fake trying to avoid it.
My general experience is that if you continue to evade flashlight blinds, survivors will try harder and harder to catch you. This can lead to them making a lot of mistakes and putting themselves in positions they otherwise would not if they knew you were running Lightborn.
I can't tell you how many times I've gotten last down on survivor because they'll jump right in my face recklessly only to realize I've been running Lightborn the whole time.
The way I use lightborn is to pretend I don't have it, so they loose theyr time trying to blind me and take too long to figure out that I have it
why is his FOV so weird he doesn't have shadow born so im confused
i did enjoy alot of the tips, but i don't like the idea of "just don't use the perk" for lightborn, so instead I have a bit of advice for Lightborn, PRETEND you don't have it when facing survivors. if you make it obvious that you have it, then they will give up and do gens, but if you ACT like you don't have it, like look down or away as they try to blind you, then alot of the time they will instead think they just messed up the timing somehow and will keep trying instead of immediately thinking you have lightborn, this has happened to me alot of the time when i use it, so keep the fact you have lightborn hidden and act like you don't have it!
Deathslinger blinks to gen
Is nobody going to acknowledge Deathslinger flying to the second floor in Dead Dawg Saloon?
Strongly disagree with Lightborn, I've had countless games where they keep trying to blind me all the way through the game. "If you're using Lightborn to begin with then you're using it wrong" What a joke. At least say this "If you've equipped Lightborn before the lobby, never do that, only ever equip Lightborn if you see more than one Flashlight in the loading lobby and then swap it out for your weakest/most unreliable perk".
8:09 imma pretend I didn't see that
you cannot stop me from using lightborne if I want to! You do not always get the option to stare at a wall especially against a bully squad, I could also reverse what you said about "learn to stare at a wall" and instead say "learn to fake avoid the blind" instead of breaking a palette go around when they try to blind you, picking someone up look up straight away and make them think they mistimed the blind, against experienced Survivors this probably wont work but against inexperienced Survivor it will be enough, and if you pair this with Lethal then you get a few seconds of aura reading on someone, but also Wesker is wearing sunglasses how can I not use Lightborne. you cant blind someone wearing sunglasses!
Disagree on lightborn, survivors do not realize what the perk fully does.
Actually you make it seem like you haven't got Lightborn, so the Survivors keep going for saves. I've used it a lot, and it has helped so much, it is not a bad perk at all.
7:30 I like this foggy version of saloon.
how have you got higher fov
Do u play shadowborn
Can someone tell me how to put a surviver on your back as a killer back down on the ground
While I agree that lightborn isn't actually a good perk and it does prevent you from learning to deal with flashlights, it is very, very funny when you pick somebody up, their friend comes for the save and you stare into their flashlight before bonking them too
can you pls do tutorial how to get and install private server.
The Lightborn point, there isn't always a wall to face. "Do not use this Perk if you wanna become better at Killer"
Do you really become a better Killer by using Pain Resonance, CoB, Overcharge, NOED etc? Your MMR goes up, that's all.
8:10 BRO WTF😭
Good cheats for the viewing angle, for some reason I don't see the perk "Shadowborn" .
and thats why lightborn requiring tokens would be a buff
