Hey everyone, today we’re going to talk about some perks from Dead by Daylight’s history that are just so awful. Let’s get into it.
Chapter 23 has been announced! It’s Ringu, a licensed chapter releasing in March of 2022. For now we have no further details.

Hehe what the F 5:34
OK why would you want a skill that dims your screen and two couldn’t you just turn the gamma up even if you want to use Light born?
Lightweight is also pretty terrible and has never been good
It is so baffling to me how awful 1.0.0 was. Like how can you make a game and think all these ideas are good?
If there were five gens left before Endgame collapse was introduced the hatch didn’t even spawn for the last person unless two gens were done. If five gens were left you couldn’t just leave through hatch. You got that buff for two reasons. 1 To get hatch to spawn in the first place and 2 have an alternate escape route if the killer was camping and/or trapped the hatch. It wasn’t that bad, definitely not a good perk either, but it wasn’t completely awful. Definitely had a more powerful effect than it does now, that’s for sure.
Nice list! I’m thinking of doing top 5s in the realm of dbd
How does the killer that was locked in a dark room for his whole life have a perk that makes him immune to light? If anything Billy'd be blinded by just opening his eyes
I was surprised that No Mither wasn't on this list!
the beast of prey tho… crying
Blood pact is fairly useless unless you like looping with friends
One word. Autodidact
Bro. I use calm spirit when doing a flashlight build because the only counter really is infectious fright that ruins flashlight saves
Now do one for perks that were broken like self care and well make it
surprised dead hard wasn't included in its newest update/iteration since it is by far the worst perk in the game
Okay but…why would you want to intentionally dim your game? I feel like people who have hawk eyes would use it
I thought just removing the stain alone was bad, before undetectable, but adding a huge cooldown to beast of prey? Why?
Its funny that Left Behind can only see the Hatch in a 32 meter radius, but Clairvoyance also lets you see the hatch and also lets you see hooks, generators, chests and gates in a 64 meter radius. Its a mix of Plunderers Instinct, Saboteur, Left Behind and other aura perks and better in many aspects to the counterparts, unless you want to sabotage in 2,5 seconds or have increased chances of a rare item from a chest.
I think you should do a survivor design tier list, ranking all of the survivors default designs from worst to best
Dont you dare diss my dearest calm spirit
sole survior its a pretty bad perk for me for the sole reason that it depends on others dying
Wake up is awful
Iron Will used to be horrible back then. It would only suppress the noises you make while injured if you were standing still
dying light was used in combination with the mori usually so you could get a survivor out of the game pretty fast it was a toxic combo
What the f—
During the time of old Left Behind, hatch might not spawn if you were the last survivor. Infact, if the match was a total blowout and your team died instantly, the hatch would not spawn. At least two generators needed to be done for the hatch to spawn for the last survivor. Left Behind was for that blowout situation, but it still was horrible.
I destroy flashlight users as Wraith with "Terror Radius Wraith build.
With The Beast and The Hound add-ons, I use Monster and Abuse, Unnerving/Overwhelming Presence, and Dark Devotion for the biggest mind games ever. Throws bully squads off every time
You should do a perk idea review with perks based around crows
Cant believe Bitter Murmur was reversed Lethal Pursuer lmaoo
Honestly the left behind perk have saved me A LOT of times when I go solo with randoms or even playing with friends, it's a very useful perk in "all go to hell" scenarios
Okay but dying light was AMAZING as tombstone myers, just kill the obsession immediately on finding them and the whole game slows to a stop
eh overwhelming prescience helps with making sure flashlights run out of charge quicker but besides that it isnt super good
5:30 best moment lol
i have to disagree with Dying Light the game back then was super survivor sided and it was common to lose 1 teammate early and still win with 3 people … remember that there were as many paletts as currently on 'The Game' map on EVERY map and they had vacuum as well, tunneling the obsession was a good tactic to get the 25% debuff
Old Left Behind saved me so many times before hatch rework, the 75% increased speed got me to finish 2-3 generators by myself in such a short amount of time, surprisingly I got to use it a lot because finding hatch always failed and the killer was just standing there waiting for the stare off.
How I used it is that I would complete the generators, and when the killer realized what was happening, he would look for me, and I would run back to the hatch and escape, sometimes even finishing all the generators and the killer wouldn't even move until they were all done, and I would be on the gate.
When they reworked this perk, I was very upset, and I still hate the affect it has today.
I think Furtive Chase from the Ghost Face is also one perk to take a look off.
The obsession part of it like recently ptb buffed Dead Man's Switch isn't even the biggest problem, but why would you want to reduce your terror radius while in a chase?
Tbh they could even keep the obsession part of it still but for the love of god making it outside of a chase at least lmao
calm spirit definitely was terrible before but seeing it now especially in the meta I think its viable
Meanwhile they nefred Thrill of the Hunt, that was my favourite hex, but now it's shitty :c
Me being from 2016 would like to say these old versions of perks require you to play in a more strategic way wheras nowadays they work in more or less every situation
You definitely missed soul survivor lol
Video is wrong just say 90% of perks are laughable
Dying light wasn't bad, because that was also when mori's allowed you to instantly kill someone without them being hooked. So if you was going to run dying light you also brought a mori. It was really broken and basically won you the game (Though tbf old moris just did that anyway)
6:01 I love how the music stopped there just to make it more dramatic
Just advice, with your addons on your flashlight, put batteries in the slot on the left then the low amp filament on the right because the games calculates from left to right. It just means that you’re getting less battery out of your flashlight because it will apply the 20% less battery consumption then the 2 seconds extra instead of 2 seconds extra then the 20% less consumption
