10 Perks that Have NEVER Been Changed (Dead by Daylight)

Hey everyone, so whilst I was looking through the wiki and reading different old descriptions and stuff, I read a perk and checked for patch notes, only to find nothing. It got me thinking about all of the perks in the game that hadn’t been changed. Today I wanted to look over and discuss the oldest perks that have been unchanged, some of them remaining as they were for now over 7 years. Today I wanted to look at 10 the oldest ones I could find and discuss the possible reasons why or how they have been unchanged for so long.

  1. I got a video idea suggestion: maybe make a video about which survivor with their three unique perks can counter the certain killer, sorry I'm not good of explaining so here a example: YunJin with her three unique perks counters Oni, Feng with her three unique perks counter Skull Merchant, something like that

  2. Actually the devs wanted to change Whispers somewhere in 2017-2018. The range would go up for each dead survivor by like 8 meters iirc so that the last person standing still could have a chance to hide. It didn't go through though. Whispers is actually still decent for this scenario since it makes it impossible for the last survivor to open the gate, although No Way Out achieves a similiar effect and is overall a better perk

  3. An idea to change luck is to have it increase chances of getting a better item from chests, decrease chance of getting a skill check for certain things like against unnerving presence or Huntress Lullaby, and increase skill check chances for things like autodidact and hyperfocus. Maybe even have it increase the great skill check success zone, even if very little.
Just a little something more than just unhook and that's it

  4. whispers should actually take advantage of the entity's whispers. It's so unique how it can speak to you. It should probably be changed so that the entity says something different everytime something happens. For example, some kind of screech everytime your aura is shown to the survivors so you know not to mindgame or hide, or something similar to distortion for survivors, something like that.

  5. I'm slightly conflicted when it comes to the idea of buffing Solidarity and Poised because they are very lore-fitting to Jane's flaws. When she heals someone fully, and she only heals 50% herself, Solidarity represents how Jane buries her own issues by immersing herself in other people's problems. Poised represents how productive she is, but at the same her restlessness to be involved in every little thing surrounding her. Jane wants so badly to be depended on and it can be her downfall in the trials. It's very saddening. Still, if anyone wants to suggest any buffs/changes to her perks, I'm all ears. 🙂

  6. 0:50 "whenever a survivor is within 32 meters of your location…" you get a pop up ad, in the top left corner of your screen: "Wanna have some fun, there's plenty of space for the both of us in this locker."? Sexy Dwight in your area.

Wait, that's not how the perk works? Well it should! About time it got a buff/rework in 7 years, I fell its a bit outdated now.

Jokes aside, my idea to buff it would be to have somewhat of a unique entity or whisper icon next to the survivors its currently tracking, if its too op it can be limited to showing a maximum of 2 survivors, but it'd be much more reliable knowing that you can find someone even around hooks or next to slugs, and pinpointing the survivor locations would still require some brainwork and time investment from the killer.
