  1. Speaking of powers i have been talking to a friend cause me and him both love left 4 dead ( it being my favorite game ) and i have been saying the tank should be a killer in dead by daylight, its got a perfect line up. Theres 8 survivors they could choose from well 7 since they have bill so they can add the original 4 bill, zoey, francis and louis. Then the l4d2 survivors are reskins.

  2. Doctor on release didn’t interrupt actions for 2.5 seconds when shocked, instead it was just an insanity gain. Also, the switch was very slow between modes, snapping out took 10 seconds (12 now), and he moved slower in treatment mode.

Ghostface would be revealed so easily that it took the purple add-on to make playing him bearable. The old purple add-on basically made current reveal mechanics happen.

Trapper was stupid slow early ok in the games life and only real purpose was to counter infinite and trap hooks. However, hook traps were removed pretty quickly and nurse’s introduction nullified Trapper’s single use. Also he was more RMG dependent compared to now where you could spawn in with 4 traps on the map.

Blight on release was kind of painful where the bump logic was so bad, the camera was bad, and about everything about the character just sucked. They were a mobility killer who wasn’t even that great

  3. Very shocked there wasn't a mention of Twins. The amount of bugs alone warrants it, but also the fact that lockers completely countered VIctor, and the absolutely miserable cooldown times make them feel torturous to play. And they were worse back then too!

  4. Freddy is still laughtably bad and weak

If BHVR would have been smart, wich they are not, they would have made it the oposite, all survivors in the dream World constantly, but can wake up for a Brief amount of time or something

Thwy also could get freddy some of Real drwam powers, what he can do now is pathetic.

At least bibba had his masks, till it was stolen from him by some racist claudette players.

Of All Killers u Named wraith is the only one, that is better now.

  5. Knight's original power actively nerfed you if you didn't just poop out a guard to make a pallet or jungle gym useless for a survivor, which was a big reason that I played only 2 games as Knight before his January changes. It also made his daily far and away the most difficult one in the game to complete at the time (still think it's difficult now, but less so if you use his power in a more fun way).

  6. As bad as Freddy was back then, i still prefer that power over what he has today. It was just more original and lore accurate, they could've worked around it instead of the clusterfuck he is today

  7. Although we laugh at Freddy's old power, it was incredibly unique and fitting of the character and dare I say, still stands out as the most unique concept from the Killers we have to this day. Seriously, this Nightmare was a solid endgame killer, and it's very unfortunate that now all Killers play the same when before we had some variety to how they function best.

  8. This is just me but imo old Freddy wasn’t so bad he was a hit and run killer back then that worked really well with end game perks like he wasn’t like a b tier or a tier killer but but an average killer even though their wasn’t much at the Time of his release

  9. Release Plague didn’t have a corrupted fountain by default, which meant you literally had 0 access to your power until someone cleansed. She was also very slow when using her Vile/corrupt purge & her addons weren’t as good as they are now. But I still used her, I saw her potential and I loved her 💜

  10. Honestly the original version of Freddy fit his character so well and the penalty for being asleep actually made sense and you could feel it.
But ye the fact that you had to wait 5 seconds before they were finally asleep for you to actually start chase was so bad.

  11. To be fair, the original Freddy was pretty lore accurate to the movies.
He can only hurt someone that is asleep and dreaming and cannot affect the waking world.
BHVR did a good job. Sadly, they did not think about how this would work as gameplay.

The new Freddy really has nothing to do with Freddy in terms of abilities.
Having seen all the Nightmare on Elm St movies, the new nightmare, Freddy vs Jason, the remake and the TV series, I do not recall a single time he used snares or fake pallets.

Still, mechanically he works better than the original.

  12. I remember back when Pig literally had a weak crouch thing where you can 'ambush' people around loops, as well as these traps where they just run to random places in the map to remove them… oh wait.

  13. Ngl, I really wish they brought back lightburn for Wraith. Truth be told, It really wasn’t as bad as people made it out to be. The problem with lightburn was, if I’m correct, is that you would end up getting burned out of cloak faster if multiple flashlights shined on you.

This means that flashlights in Solo Q were simply a way to counter Wraith, while flashlights in a 4 man SWF was a way to bully Wraith. I think BHVR could implement lightburn again, but obviously tone it down by making it so multiple flashlights shining on Wraith won’t burn him faster. Maybe even taking a step farther by making it so that if multiple flashlights are shining on you, it takes even longer to burn you out of cloak.

Either way, I’m just tired of people acting as if lightburn was this unavoidable thing, even if it was just one survivor with a flashlight. Lightburn was a fun relic of the past that was neither OP or terrible, thus I’m just sad that it’s gone.
