  1. What's funny about Self-Care too is that it's still part of the meta even after BHVR nerfed it to change up the meta. I think it was perfectly fine before and shouldn't have been changed because it wasn't even hurting the killer side of the game, and why BHVR shouldn't just nerf perks to change the meta, but that's a whole discussion in itself. However, Self-Care is still meta because some players really want that guaranteed way to heal apparently, but you summed it up perfectly in the video, there are just better options. Even before the nerf, it could be a hindrance. I remember one match long before the nerf where the Claudette was self-caring instead of opening the exit gate. If she had spent the time opening the exit gate then the killer would've only gotten a 2K instead of a full 4K.

  2. I added Self-Care on top of my healing build of Botany, Desperate Measures, and Resilence and I enjoy it.
Also, as I am TERRIBLE at finding totems, so Inner Strength is worthless to me.

  3. I always use self care botany, bite the bullet and that one yui perk and/or that Jonás exhaustion perk to have the ultimate stealth when I get injured it’s very fun to do it’s my fav combo to run especially indoors

  4. Nice video and yeah I would like another please 😎👍 I like hearing how you and other players think about perks and dbd. I always try to build community when I play but to me what really kills the gameplay is challenges. When I am trying to do challenges sometimes it requires you to play selfish of risky(where normally you wouldn't)I wish they made a better system to unlock rewards? Great job mew 👏

  5. self care is good you can use it anywhere on the map, you have time to waste cleansing the totem and finding one as well. self care iis a combo perk, and still decent on its own however if survivor use self care on its own and m1 killers have sloppy butcher that suppose to counter it cause self care is good, it doesn't requires two survivors next to each other, the other one can be working on a gen. that and you should only heal youself with selfcare 2 or 3 times at most in a match, know when to heal and when to do gens with self care, self care is more of a elite perk since most new survivors dont know how to use it properly.

  6. The only good reason to run Sole Survivor is if you're playing SoloQ and you pair it with Wake Up. If the killer ends up closing hatch, you will be able to open the gate so fast and almost guarantee an escape.

  7. now that medkits only heal one time and also take forever, Selfcare is actually good now. If you combo it with Botany and Desperate Messures, you can heal FASTER than a medkit. XD

  8. Slippery meat only "works" in a swf when everyone stack max luck, ace luck perk and vigis jar offering. Even with stacked luck it can fail and when killer see 4x vigos jar, the killer knows the plan and will just proxy hook to counter self unhook.

  9. I also like to pair Inner Strength with Overzealous. It makes me feel like I didn't waste quite as much time on the totem portion if I get the gen speed buff when I'm done.

  10. Pinning a comment regarding self-care because a few of you made some good points. I know that inner strength takes time to find a totem, but totems usually spawn beside gens anyway and are things you can causually find throughout the trial anyway! self-care takes 45 seconds for a heal, that is 45 seconds not spent on a gen, a gate or helping your team. 45 seconds is enough time for a killer to turn the game around completely. I understand where you're coming from but inner strength also helps cleansing totems for end game situations (killer has noed or perhaps hex perks during the trial) whilst also benefitting you by letting you heal up. it also counters sloppy butcher, as the heal can't be interrupted like self-care can. I don't mind people using self-care if paired with perks like botany, desperate measures for a quicker heal, but alone i think self-care takes wayyy too much time. Inner strength was also the only perk I could think of that let you heal yourself quickly without the use of a medkit. Just to clear that up!

  11. I love that you use our comments to help form your videos! And I’m glad mine made it in 😊

As a side note, I think Low Profile could be a decent substitute for Sole Survivor as it has that “last man standing” kinda vibe. Leader is definitely the stronger perk, but Low Profile fits that “selfish” theme, and can still be used altruistically to help recover your team.
