Hey everyone, today I thought we’d dive into the lore and gameplay and look at some mysteries or questions that have never really been answered but may have crossed your mind at some point. I’m then gonna briefly do my best to try and answer these. Let’s get into it.

Chapter 22 has been released on the 5.4.0 PTB. With this chapter we have a new killer, The Artist, a new survivor, Jonah Vasquez, and a new map, Eyrie of Crows, part of the new Forsaken Boneyard realm. It looks great, and I’m very excited!

  1. If the survivors were to return home, would it be at the exact moment they were taken? If so, would they be in the same state as when they were taken? Would they remember the realm? Since the survivors have outfits from different realms, do they share a conscious with their other worldly counterpart?

  2. I think entity heals the survivors and killers wounds but maybe it’s something like a Lazarus’s pit from the dc comics where the more it repairs the more twisted you become. See spirit and victor who were completely dead or sliced to bits causing them to be the most twisted fog versions of their previous selves.

  3. For an addition to survivors not fighting back, a good guess/idea is that the survivors are punished so heavily for attempting in a way that they just gave up trying outside of pallets and head on. Although Head -on can be explained as you hitting them with the door or slamming into them abruptly.

Let's say they try and grab a hatchet for example. Instead of being able to pick it up, the entity lashes out and breaks a few fingers. They try and take a knife? Severe lacerations all around the fingers and hands. There's jagged pieces of broken wood on a lot of maps. Could explain Decisive but if they try to use it randomly to fight a killer? Broken hand and maybe a ton of splinters are forced into their body. Basically saying you can try to fight back, but you won't be able to when it kills you.

  4. Them not fighting back could be explained as them feeling like it wouldn't work. It's entirely possible that they tried fighting back at one point, only for the entity to either punish the survivor or knit the killer's wounds back together right before the survivor's eyes. After all, what greater source of despair is there than trying to fight back against a horrific monster, only to see it shrug off seemingly mortal blows

  5. A decent theory could be is there souls were taken from there bodies before the implications of death.

An either the survivors are in a comatose state in the real world in a hospital or something or they are actually dead in the real world but there souls were taken.

  6. Talbot (blight) was a survivor that turned killer. And he had a journal of his own – as well as found Vigos journal. I don’t feel like Benedict Baker would be the Observer.

  7. I think entity could be a represenrion of humans since we kill other animals for enjoyment(eating a delicious steak etc.) and survival and the entity is doing the same to survive

  8. Do people age in The realm I know time is non linear and all that but time still exists right? Like Bill is 70 something and Leon has his RE4 jacket even though he was taken during RE2?

  9. My theory on the survivors not fighting back, is because when all of them were initially sent to the Entity's realm, they actually did try to fight back, and quickly found out that doing so was a deathsentence as the killers in the Entity's realm are unkillable, even the human ones. We can actually see this happening on Twins. despite how many times Victor gets crushed, he always comes back. And charlotte should actually be dying from having a giant gaping hole in her torso where her brother is more than likely scraping into her guts everytime he seperates from her. We can also see this in plague considering she should definitely be dead right now since basically 90% of her body is blackened (necrotized, A.K.A. rotted and dead) from the disease she carries.

  10. Why not fight back? Lookup the for honer dbd crossover. You have army’s of heavily armoured and armed knights vs the trapper and trapper can kill ten of them before vanishing only to return when the entity revives him moments later.
