So, we need to nerf all killes coz they counter shack!
Okay but you forgot to consider Monstrous Shrine
Kind of a dumb take a lot of the killers you mentioned can do the same if not similar stuff at other pallets or tiles
I still prefer to consider "god pallet" as a bit much. Shack + Pallet = Shallot.
I dont really know if I agree Shack Pallet is overrated ALWAYS. Its a solid tile that can be easily used and when combined with another tile nearby (which seems to happen a lot on some maps) means that you can reset off it and go throw a "lesser" pallet away and later return to it. Other tiles can chain well but IMO the Shack's biggest strength is how often it happens. Some of the farm maps can be rather brutal at times.
spoken like a true killer main; shack is the only place where even for those killers who can navigate it have to actually test their skill against a survivor. I love it as killer but love it way more as survivor. You'd down me in a few seconds there I'm sure. lol
every pallet is a god pallet, especially the upstairs one in hawkins
"Curious to hear what your guy's opinion is on it"
My opinion: NODDERS
Yeah but like, I'm shit and Shack is the only thing I know how to run
Although I agree that shack is overrated, I am pretty sure that as an m1 killer really good survivors can wait for the killer to commit into the shack and still make the fast vault before the killer can hit them, I've done it myself many times after seeing skilled survivor players on youtube do it.
Okay I just started the video so idk if Scott says this but Kill Shack becomes really easy to loop for both sides because it’s the loop you probably get the most practice on because any map that’s not indoors you will probably have a chase there at least once a game.
Honestly, the basement can be more of an annoyance than useful sometimes because of how hooks spawn. Sometimes Ill be on a map where an entire area only has like 1 or 2 hooks I can get to because the basement is prevent more from spawning.
I think part of the mythos of shack is its consistency, it may not be the best loop in the world but you almost always have it and even the worst players have a chance at running it.
There can be multiple god pallets. It's just that religious killers, often legions now, have gone from monotheistic to polytheistic as more god pallets have been added. My definition for a god pallet is one where you can basically stand at the pallet when it's dropped and it's impossible for a basic m1 killer to hit you.
I always felt like they should just remove the basement, it sucks and it mainly just promotes toxic behavior. Probably will never happen though
the real galaxy brain is putting a survivor in the basement, then caging the rescuer so they leave the basement.
I think he's very right about the shack but I think it's still THE God pallet, simply because you're forced to break, you can't outplay shack with any killer if shack pallet is down, so i still think it's one of the best pallets in the game, it's just that the structure itself isn't too strong
I always assumed "god pallet" just meant any pallet you can force the killer to kick while you gain distance. Shack is a very common one and as a result everyone knows how to loop on it. The tiles you mentioned as being stronger are better for looping the killer until you get hit there, while shack is better for chaining into other tiles. "Better" in that you can make it to new tiles further away than you could from a long wall short wall or an LT wall. So you end up wasting less of the killers time at the shack but you end up wasting more time over the whole chase.
Shack *with the pallet*!is a fairly strong structure. Once the god pallet is gone, I’d say it’s about neutral to slightly killer sided, despite the strong window. And yeah, basement is only worth it if you intend on defending that general area, and certain killers can’t take advantage of it very well. However, you can often manage to force a trade due to the distance to the hook from the shack, as long as you aren’t late on catching the survivor going for the unhook. So it’s fairly strong for killers, yes, just not always worth getting someone down there unless you plan to use it.
True, but sometimes, expecially in the starting part of the match, bring survs in the basement got some sort of psychological effect from time to time, cauz they gotta figure it out if you are that killer that camp the basement or not. Of course it works just the first time and most of the time only against average survs. But it's funny doing that and see how the survs react to the possible menace.
Cries in Monstrous Shrine
I haven't seen the video yet, but my take is that shack is only useful in conjunction with something else connected to the window or if you use the backside. Everything else the killer has pretty good options to counter
I think that people call it the God pallet because it's the most consistent and fun thing to run on maps for both sides
Easy just revert shack and add 2 windows like before
Another thing you can do with shack is that on the longer side of the window, you can face in the opposite direction of the door and pause for about half a second before moving again which will confuse a lot of players in general and get you the hit anyways (or they'll drop the pallet), I find this to be pretty effective on most players unless someone has extremely good positioning.
So even then, in a majority of games it's still really easy to play the shack without playing from the pallet side of it.
OMG dude you dropped Shack pallet!!! ya now we can get 3 gens done rather than 1 gen and giving the killer a down/pressure/pop/basement camp.
