  1. I agree with most of the points you've made, if survivors give the killer no grace, why should the expect the killer to spare them in return? Survivors can often be just as (if not more) toxic than killers.

That being said, although, yes, It is just video game… Some people do take gaming quite seriously. I don't think it's fair to belittle them on this point alone. Some people are naturally more competitive than others, and they can't help but be frustrated when playing competitive type games.

  2. I always love thinking back to my favorite classic slasher movies, and what would happen if the killers in those movies had the mindset that some survivor mains think DBD killers should.
Imagine OG Michael Myers being like "man I've been chasing Laurie for a while, I'd better give her a break so it doesn't seem like I'm tunneling. I've got to make sure the experience is fun for her as well!"

  4. Ngl I'm in green ranks but 90% of the times I've tunnelled a survivor has always followed me to try and body block.

Why wouldn't I tunnel at that point? if tunnelling causes me to have two survivors not on gens, then that's literally a net positive because I know where that second survivor attempting a body block is, and I can easily slug the already injured survivor and then focus on downing the player chasing me

  5. It's always the salty survive with friends groups that get salty when you are playing a way that is inconvenient to their strategy. It's literally a lose lose situation for killers. If you try and take it easy (not tunnel, proxy camp, gen patrolling) then they are already at an advantage and may end up costing you a loss. Little do they know there ARE tactics and strategies you can use against tunneling, just like how theres a counter for most playstyles in the game. But its fine for swfs to spam click flash lights, crouch up and down at pallets, use the same 6 exhaustion/second chance perks, AND SIT AT THE EXIT GATES UNTIL THE TIMER RUNS OUT… dont even bother trying to reason with these morons either, they think they are the victim in any given situation but we all know survivors (especially swfs) really do have the upper hand against most killers, but of course there's no telling who's behind the controller

  6. Yeah, neither survivors nor killers are obligated to make things fun for the other. By this, I mean yes, survivors can gen rush, they can bring keys, bring clutch perks, play SWF. And killers can bring iridescent axes, moris, tunnel, etc. But purposely being an asshole is a bit different.
That said, I'm generally an easygoing guy and try to make it a point to be pleasant. Played a game as a survivor this morning against a Pig player on PC (I'm on PS4). I was the only person the Pig hit for the entire game. They were either goofing off, or had completely given up by the time we popped the 5th gen. As a killer main, I don't like seeing a Killer get a 'no hook' game, and I don't much care about my points or ranking, so I literally walked up to the killer and stood there, eventually getting hit and downed. They tried to carry me to the exit, I kept crawling out. They tried to carry me to the hatch, I crawled away. Finally got the point and hooked me.
I don't mind dying as a survivor so long as the killer isn't a complete ass. And this one literally tried everything to let me get away.
