Yea off the record is essentially useless and pointless. Just run lucky break. Although lucky break was laughable and useless at first as well. Now it OP. So there is hope for off the record I guess. ;D
Totems could be moved to a more neutral state for boons to be balanced. Killers can still start the game with their hexes active, survivors keep the option to convert a totem from hexed to blessed. But killers should be able to do the same thing and convert a boon totem into a hex (at a lower speed than it currently takes to stomp a boon out) given that one of their hex perks aren't currently active on a totem(maybe make this random if they have multiple hex perks that are inactive). Totems either can't be destroyed anymore or are like hooks and regenerate after a while, to give both the killer and survivors options to relocate their active totems and keep their perks alive
As a survivor I can tell that these totems are going to be Op. the have a good idea but it just throwing a lot onto one totem.

Boon totems should not stack.
Survivors should not be able to bless another totem while their first is still up.
When the Killer snuffs a Boon totem, it could return to a Hex totem if it was one before. OR make blessing hex totems much slower than blessing a dull totem
Boon totems should be like regular totems as in it should be activated at the start of the match for the killer to snuff out. But once per round the survivor(with the perk) can reactivate it at the same totem location or another one. But as a balance the killer should be able to do the same with their own totem(s).Because it isn’t fair for the killer if a totem has been cleansed to be gone forever and survivers have multiple tries. But they should add two or three more totems to all maps as well.

I can confirm with adds only, 22 out of the 25 kills have some sort of aura reading/wall hacking ability, and given how popular Bbq is (95-99% of the time used) off the record seem like a good perk

As a survivor main, I think the game personally is pretty survivor sided (outside some killers) and I don’t think killers need another thing to worry about and face camping isn’t ever justified but I 100% understand it when survivors are healing at 9000% speed and spamming flashlights / t bagging

Idk I see some use in Off the Record because honestly I rarely need iron will for longer than 80 seconds. Like, after an unhook that should be PLENTY of time to get away from the killer and/or heal up. And then you get the added benefit of no aura revealed, which counters bitter murmur, rancor, bbq, etc. I don't run it personally but I see how you could justify it 🤷♀️
when doing the shrine section I could tell that it was going to be off the record because you didn't cover the perks in the bottom right after you showed off Dance with Me

Hello, so I am considering getting Dead by Daylight on my xbox one due to the new witch themed survivor that is coming out, however I wanted to ask a few things. One, is it a good time to start playing DBD? Two, is it a good game for someone who isn't all that competitive? Three, who is a good survivor/hunter for new players to start off with?

Hoarder is pretty OP on Nemesis since you contaminate them with the tentacles strike once their infected you can get theiir location as they're trying to open the chest to get the vaccine.
