"We can't tell you player distribution because we hate killer and don't wanna show that killers are leaving the game because of us failing to understand and properly change killer while making sure survivors op bullshit stays in the game for 6+ months before we nerf it (Mettle of Man, Circle of Healing, Medkits, etc). And when we do nerf it it'll be VERY slight."

  2. I will say I appreciate them trying to be transparent but a lot of these answers are lightly opaque which makes it kind of frustrating. Also splitting queue times for other game modes isn't a problem if alternate game modes brings more or retains players.

  3. The hockey analogy made me feel like my head was going to explode. Yes, let's compare an asymmetrical game's mechanics and winning conditions to that of a sport where two evenly spread teams face off with the same win condition of needing to score more goals than the opposing team.

    This Q&A just served to remind me that I don't want a Q&A from these guys so much as I'd just love Scott or Otz or any other prominent DBD content creator to have a sit down interview with one of them every now and then so that we can maybe have some actual meaningful back and forth discussion take place instead of these one-sided and controlled situations where there's all this talking but nothing is actually being said.

  5. You were on the right track Scott, however shots on goals would be shots that hit the net. Lol
    The real argument is a player could score 3 goals and the team could still lose the game.
    With BHVR argument, they are saying that the player who scored 3 goals is still essentially a loser.
    That's where I think BHVR is just sounding "dumb". You can be a skilled player on a losing team.

  6. i srsly dont know why they dont change addons on the fly to keep the game fresh

    werent they like super proud that they can disable bugged addons or maps ore killers ?

    why arent they changing adoons every patch? and if something is to broken and they cant put theyr finger on it ,why , simply disable it and return it to pre buff/nerf

    they are so lazy

  7. You know Scott. This may be a little controversial and I'm almost afraid to even mention it. But, I wonder if this game can cause PTSD. I feel like people may laugh at that. There could be some truth there though, depending on the person I suppose.

  8. Literally I started watching this and they are partially wrong. Any BP you get from code or like a gift will never be counted towards the cap in any way, lets say you had a bit over 500K and entered a code that give 500K and you still be able to gain BP from matches because the code is bypassing the cap in every way.
    But they are right for grade reset, it can go bypass the cap but counts towards it.

  9. After watching this I don't understand how anybody can have faith in the longevity and health of DBD. These devs don't seem to care and their game is made with spaghetti code.

    Devs designing ranks: "Ah yeah, 9 hooks, amazing, skillful, here: Iridescent Devout"
    Devs now: "9 hooks? 👀 but where.. 👀 ..where are kills? You want to say you did nothing the whole game and be rewarded?"

  11. literally just remove dead hard and so many problems and reasons why things are unbalanced would be fixed. just remove it. delete the entire perk and do something else. it's easily the most overused, unbalanced, and janky perk in the game. "oh but loops are also op if they connect into each other like a jungle gym window into shack into a long farm map loop etc. dead hard is like 90% of the reason that's allowed. if it's also so hard to try and balance or change due to timing/server/player, etc then this would also all be alleviated by just removing it. i've said this forever.

  12. The fact that they base what changes to prioritise by looking at match stats explains why they’re so god damn clueless. They’re probably seeing stats from a match with an afk or farming killer and assuming that the killer and perks they were using must be shit

  13. Funny how the devs already have an answer just go "Can i show this? I will show it anyways."

    But when a question ask something too complicated or they are too lazy to do it, they go into a president speech ending in an "We have no intentions/ We are looking forward into it"
