I have reservations about the system. I love the more automatically starting. Im nervous about slugging going away. What do you think?!

at first, I was a bit apprehensive about them removing the ability to pick yourself up and making it base kit. but now I'm more curious as to how this will change people's gameplay
time will tell how this all plays out or how it's implemented when it goes live but these are some BIG changes!
So you mention higher level play pushing gens while leaving people on the ground. I can see that. It extends the mindset of gens before friends potentially (which I didn't think about). At the same time, it does eliminate cases of Killers going for 4k slugs and letting people bleed out. I still think it's a good thing to have, but your thoughts have itched my brain and given me some pause on that.
As for the mori change and Devour, I know you and Ronaldo had a brief talk in the chat here about it. I find myself falling on the side of Ronaldo here. I know you say that using hook perks are opened up by the change, but Devour Hope allows for use of hook perks anyway. There are times in a match when it'd be more strategic to use hooks rather than mori, but part of the fun of something like Devour was to get as many moris as possible. I do like the change to the offerings, though. It's like putting in a lower cost offering as a gamble to get a higher payout if you pull the condition off. I really like that idea.
Overall, I'm still thinkin about it, but I see the whole as a net positive change. I appreciate the video as always. Much love <3

I think they should increase the time before you can get up but make it so there is no time limit when using unbreakable. As for the mori changes, I absolutely hate it. Rancor and devour were fun because you got the opportunity to mori people without needing the offering and the offerings allowed you to mori everyone which was always fun to do. Why not just make the cypress memento mori base kit instead of all this finishing mori bs

Good video, I feel 45 seconds might be too short as no one is going to pick anyone up, I feel if it was longer it might inspire people to pick someone up. My worry is that solo queue will get worse.
Thanks for pointing out how the Devour Hope might get a shadow buff. To me I was thinking it was a nerf because I liked the time it would save me by not having to traverse to a hook, but having the hook activated perks in play might be a decent trade off assuming I want to run those.
I dont think its good or bad but i gotta ask..why? This just seems like they are catering to people who whine about being targetted by moris (which is pretty silly)

I feel the negatives of this dev update outweigh the positive. Unbreakable being base kit removes slugging as a pressure tactic. If I run into a “ghost savior”, where someone saves a hooked survivor & vanishes, I slug the recently unhooked survivor to give the rest of them something else to do. Also, I expect a surge in sabo, Boil Over, Breakdown squads. Not to mention the survivors who “comp corner” killers plus maps like Midwich, where hook spawns can be absolute garbage.
I like the last mori “cutscene” but the rest of the mori system changes are horrible. Who is going to run the mori offerings for bonus bp IF they meet certain conditions when they can run other bp offerings for pretty much guaranteed bonus bloodpoints?
The perk changes are, for the most part, bad. Unless they change the cooldown on Soul Guard, I can see that being abused. No Mither is just bad with the change. Unbreakable will still be good with 22.5 seconds to stand up again. Rancor is weakened because you either have to push any remaining survivors out or manage to knock them down & only the obsession is exposed. Half the fun of Devour Hope was going for a 4 man mori. While getting to 5 stacks still leads to essentially the same result, it’s now just a boring hook & not the usually cooler mori animation. Also, if there are no hooks nearby for one reason or another, the instant hook death is useless & slugging is no longer a viable option.
I blame nurse players that slug at 5 gens for this
I think if twins got a QoL update that just shorted Victor's cooldown on a successful attack and shorted switching back to Charlotte I'd be less concerned.
But right now, with 8 seconds of those 45 or 22 being basically non-usable, it's gonna be rough 😩 and forget if they have unbreakable+exponential
I'm not sure about this change. I like it so far. Honestly, the Mori offerings never enticed me before, but I'm sad about Rancor and Devour hope because it felt like a real achievement if you got far enough along to Mori someone with it. It was more a fun little aspect for me. This is a change I will have to experience to really call judgemental on, but I don't think, overall, it will make that much difference in my casual play. The one thing I'd like to see changed is Ubreakable removing the timer and the timer itself maybe going up to a minute, that way there is a bit more consequence for leaving your friend on the ground. If you got them up, they could've had a Gen almost done by that point, or ran the killer. Overall, decent changes, but I'm kind of nervous about them. BHVR has had a decent record the last few updates, though, so I'm hopeful
I sense the sabo squads are going to like this update but all around im not sure if this was there best idea. As for the mori change its nothing terrible but will have to see how the ptb goes and what changes after.
In your example about slugging to take a shot at someone else and come back to pick up, I wonder if base kit Unbreakable will cause survivors to be more bold in harassing a killer that's wanting to pick up, knowing they're on a timer. Before, they can't be sure they're not the new target and might book it out of there, but now, they know you'll likely drop chase and might stick around for whatever reason. Just curious to see how this plays out.
Thoughts:
1. Is the FOV change on both killer and survivor? is it the same as shadowborne? If you run that perk does it still increase? Just seems like an odd change
2. I am a little worried we will see some toxic killers slug people and camp them. If they recover, the killer just downs them again.
3. The mori change seems odd to me. If I am understanding it correctly, you get no benefit from it if you dont reach the exact condition. Ebonys dont seem worth it in the web as ivory's and cypress are cheaper and grant a solid amount of BP + easier to achieve
