  1. Well, as of right now, we can never know for sure. We can only make assumptions, and because we have such a small idea of what working at Behavior is actually like, Id like to think positive on their work ethic for the time being, until they are truely proven to be what you cynically speculate.

Having an "innocent until proven guilty" mentality can minigate the (potentially) unwarranted backlash.
Who knows? Maybe a vast majority of the fanbase being so cynical is the very thing thats keeping Behavior from opening up. Afterall, the dbd community, atleast from my experience, is the most whiny community I have ever been apart of.

  2. Ngl Paladins had 2 week patches and was fine now the game is more dead than alive, League has a patch after 2 weeks and Riot is very transparant compared to other companies, I mean you should praise something thats well done…

  3. The weekly dev streams they used to do were amazing, real dev-player interaction and some very interesting behind the scenes info. Now when they rarely do streams they’re pre-recorded hype-builders. It’s really disappointing

  4. You give BHVR way too much credit, they are awful developer's and bottom of the barrel in terms of skill and quality, I hope dead by daylight fails and their company goes under so the industry can see less of these low skills money grabbers making it big, games like dbd shouldn't be making profits it only encourages developers to copy their monetize first and make a decent game maybe later, this game still feels like a beta after 5 years, I've seen beta's even better this pile of garbage

  5. "All these people are jumping to conclusions too swiftly about The Trickster, so much he's too weak here, this part is bad, this thing is useless, but if you open your eyes and use your brain you can see that his potential is actually very good, I'll have you know I get an average of 3 downs a game"Killer sided game. Wraith was already strong & very hard to escape against. Listen to me, stop appeasing whiney killer bbs, add 2 more hook states, nerf Trapper, & give us the option to ban playing against certain killers. Too many unfair mechanics in game rn this would fix thatLet us commence, 19 pounds of video game currency, amongst of you would like it? And yes dear fellow, i'm finding a new place for it. Remember, distribute it, distribute it, DISTRIBUTE IT! And to the jesters amongst the crowd, don't get removed! sus

  6. Hey Scott, when you were talking about the transparency issue, I think we were in the same stream (Almo’s) I was actually the one who asked the question about this, and then when almo gave that bad answer, where from there I questioned him, and his mods started being passive aggressive calling things like keys and iri heads my pet issue. If you weren’t in his stream, then I just think that this is a cool coincidence for you to have bad this video
Edit: you said on stream that you were actually there, which I think is really cool, thanks for talking about this issue!

  7. They could go to streamers on twitch and simply ask them , or make the big decisions with the community , there are a lot of great ways to do this stuff , is not hard to ask a player like it’s or tru3 or other killer mains. And probzz and other survivor mains.

  8. Okay
Yeah they're being smart by not working as hard due to 0 competition….

But wouldn't working harder to make the game the best it can be not only get more money for them, and nearly remove any future competition but also just show the community how much they actually care?

  9. For honor has gotten a lot better coming from a guy who's played it 4 years straight, still… The devs make questionable decisions but i think they're less dumb than bEhaviour.

  10. 8:05 Transparency won't work for Behavior. To my mind it requires A.) Devs to play their game on all varieties/levels of play and B.) They have to love their game. This includes the community behind the game, the act of developing and creating the lore/characters/mechanics of the game, everything. Best example for this is Digital Extremes. Warframe (the game they dev) would not get to where it is today without genuine love and transparency as they have shown. When content is shown before it is released it is clearly stated that it may not make it in game or not and when things don't get added the reasons are clearly stated on their streams or through official channels.
Behavior does not give a shit about you, the player. Period. You have been and always will be a cash cow to them. This is why transparency won't work, because total transparency would be them saying all of this to your face rather than through their consistent inaction to do their jobs as developers.

  11. I would disagree with the point that there's no reason for them to improve what they're doing. Besides the most basic level of integrity, getting better at their development practices (quicker and better functioning updates, responding well to community feedback both general and from highly experienced/skilled players, more transparency about their practices and thoughts on the game ect) would have many positive long term ramifications. There'd be more buzz around the game and a lot more positive reception of it, which could potential build an even bigger, stable player base. The devs themselves would garner a much greater reputation if they could show better competence (particularly on the programming side) which would potentially lead to better career prospects in future for individuals, but also create far greater hype for any future projects they may work on down the line. I think that's the problem, short term DbD is gonna keep doing just fine, but if the player base ever dwindles, or as Scott's said before, if a rival game every manages to release that's similar enough, but with better development, Behaviour are gonna be in trouble trying to find anywhere near this level of success again. I know I wouldn't be too excited if they announced some new project they're working on.

  12. Compare Riot games to BHVR:

    – One company updates EVERY 2 weeks,
    – creates several different games by now ( fighting game, MMORPG and a Roleplay game coming )
    – has a competitive scene on every continent + worlds
    – is working on an animated series
    – has literally the best visual and graphics designer
    – listening to their community

    – The other one just updates every 3 months, patching in bugs that make the game borderline unplayable
    – Skins are more content than actual updates
    – not listening to their community

  13. Designers, programmers and tester are busy finding and fixing bugs.
The player base has far deeper understanding of the meta than any dev ever claim to have.
Because guess what. When you work on a game for 8 hours a day. Going home to play that game might not be your first priority.
What is an issue is Devs claiming the top 0.1% of their player base don't understand the meta and how to better balance it.
These people probably thinks about the game more than the devs. Because they do it for fun and not to pay bills.
