  1. as much as my inner survivor main wants to cry about the dead hard nerf I just gotta admit i am finally excited for the actual meta shift. where theres more than 1 excaution perk in the game. and i don't care if it means more W games when you play killer

  2. Self care should have numbers removed, just allows healing without a medkit

change all medkits to give speed boosts to healing like 5-20% to self and 10-30% to others with addons to increase those numbers.

Circle of healing should give a 100% heal increase now as it is solely a altruistic purpose now.

Dead hard should be changed from an exhaustion perk to the old BT being a BT effect for yourself making drawing the killer away from the hooked survivor i good idea (anti tunnel). Give 60 sec of endurance and 10 of haste.

I’d love feedback on these ideas and any other ideas people may have, thank you. 😊

  3. I think the healing perks are gonna be Botany, Desperate Measures and Resilience. Autodidact is rly solid but the build up might be too slow to use.

Also! I think gen rushing perks are also gonna be Rly Popular this meta. Toolboxes are now the best item, Overzealous got a HUGE buff, Hyperfixated is still a thing. I really thing Behavior wants the games to be faster.

  4. I really like the new clutter on blood lodge. Makes stealth killers far more effective while at the same time making stealth more viable for survivors. Obviously it's bad for Hillbilly, but hopefully he gets reverted to his pre-overheat patch state anyway, in which case it would be fine for him.

  5. Resurgence and Solidarity are pointless against perks like Sloppy Butcher, which becomes the new meta if these changes go forward. I feel like both need to counter Haemorrhage in order for either of those perks to ever be used. Same with Reactive Healing.

  6. If the healing nerf goes through as is, I will just straight up never play survivor because it’s just not a considerate/thought out nerf with the status of current perks/add ons that are out there. Regarding base healing anyway; I understand nerfs for green and purple Medkits as well as COH

  7. For all the depressing videos about how DBD is going to die with this patch, and how absolutely horrible it is, this video is so refreshing. I'm in agreement with every single thing you've said, and these have been my thoughts as well. Get rid of the billy nerf, its pointless. I don't think the change in the overheat is going to be a negative. Healing is horribly boring, so increasing the time is a little annoying, but there are SO MANY VIABLE COUNTERS to this, I don't know why people are so upset. All the 'it took 6 minutes to heal!' videos are showing extremes that just aren't going to happen in normal gameplay, and are counterable. Pentimento? Go cleanse the damn totem. Or don't give the killer the ability to get it in the first place. chloraphobia? don't heal in killer radius. Sure, wesker makes this hard, especially on certain maps, but….so?? All killers have pros and cons. You don't heal at all in a plague match and you shouldn't heal at all in a legion match and people don't complain about that as much, right? You have botany knowledge that means you heal twice as fast. You have autodidact, which may take a moment to rev up, but once you have your stacks you're a monster at healing and COMPLETELY negate the nerf. Not to mention the other perks that get around this and allow quick healing, which is a lot more than killer can do with all the gen defense perks being nuked. But killer does still have options to slow things down. Bringing an anti-healing build, for instance. Bringing the gen perks that do still work, but may not be as oppressive as the old meta.

I agree so much that it'll be interesting to see a REAL meta shakeup. And I agree that they need to look into the insanely powerful killers more. I don't understand why Blight is the beast he is still. And THANK YOU for mentioning the artist. I hate going against this killer so much.

    TLDR: You're 100% right.

  8. one issue about them gutting all these perks and what not is some people dont have access to other perks without having to swipe the card, hell to this day im still working on unlocking survivors and killers (missing adam) i was mostly a boon CoH and shadowstep user, i kinda felt like they over gutted CoH tho, i feel like they where half correct about its change, heck make it so that the boon placer gets self healing, the other survivors dont they just get aura reading,

  9. you cannot convince me that 24sec healing is good. i agree with nerfing medkits but making basekit healing slower is just absurd. the game does NOT need extra objectives, the survivor side is already boring enough as it is when the killer doesnt wanna commit to a chase.

i dont see why they removed the nurse flashlight burn. its really situational, requires a lot of skill to pull of, and 90% of the community prob doesnt even know about it. it was never a problem.

  10. I disagree that medkits will be seen less. The base healing changes with the CoH nerf basically make medkits essential. They might be less effective than before, but their utility is more necessary.
Particularly because healing yourself is the same speed as healing another survivor and being able to allow another survivor 24 extra seconds on a gen instead of both of you being occupied for 24s is more valuable.

  11. Bro ong like I think people are freaking out for no reason. Even if healing is impossible and therefore winning as survivor would be impossible, and even if gens are somehow still impossible to do, which they aren’t, I still feel like chasing is now just the most incentivized activity

  12. I am a killer main and I feel semi about this, first unnecessary hillbilly nerf and i wanted to start and main him and second, if you nerf healing for the survivors and gen regress for the killers, what do you think is going to happen, exactly, gen rush meta 🥲

  13. As someone who only plays killer if I’m the only person online. Balance wise this was a VERY healthy update but altruism needs to be buffed up a bit. And maybe a tiny basekit empathy for solo Q? Thinking just 16M. Also making altruistic healing naturally faster than self

  14. Ive been around for a while as a killer main, and as of yesterday, almost every game I play is a cracked SWF that heals 0.5 seconds after they get injured. I’m glad they are getting these changes, feel the pain lol.

  15. "Ahhh, the game is stale, we want big changes!!!!"
    >This PTB comes along
"REEEEEEEEEEE, why did the devs change so much so fast"
Only thing I dislike about the update is the absolute travesty of what they have done to Billy.

  16. i like patches that makes stuff wild, because throwing stuff to the board to see what sticks is willingness to change and that's better than stagnation

  17. Finally some one who i agree with I am in the same boat these survivor mains crying they can't heal in 8s anymore! I do agree however taht Alturistic healing should be 16s still! If they really wanna nerf that aspect only 2s more should be fine at 18s!

What surivors mains don't understand is in its purist form this game is a "Time Mangement" Game. If you take away all the Gen regssion perks that surivors complained so much about. Then that POWER/SLOWDOWN has to go some were else either by making healing take longer or even increasing the chase potential to all killers which alot of surivors would complain anyways.

There has to be give and take. But surivors want their eat dinner and have their cake too. They want the gen perk nerfs but not deal with any healing nerfs.

  18. Overcharge would of been cool to not be hit so hard. I've used that perk every day since doctors release and to finally have it somewhere nice and to have it dumbed down again… It hurts…

  19. It bothers me SO much, that nobody is talking abt pain res nerf. It was balanced healthy and fair perk, that revarded both sides for good chasing or looping. And BHVR nerfed it just like Billy addons, simply because its usage was higher than other perks

  20. I don't think it should take someone 45 seconds to pick themselves off the ground, that's just ridiculous. And imagine nerfing billy in 2023. I just find it interesting that the devs didn't think to tweak the healing slowdown perks. Also, once resili comes meta, are they going nerf that too?
