The survivors not doing gens is playing for hatch not holding them hostage. A killer holding the game hostage can't be stopped by survivors, a game being held hostage by survivors can be stopped by the killer by finding the survivor. The perma ban was for someone with a platform retaliating against some one without one, a power imbalance. And no dev should tolerate retaliation from someone with a platform, it'd be the same as endorsing it. This is a shit take on vid is all.
Between this, fumbling the Trickster bug situation and harboring a transphobic developer, BHVR has really REALLY been getting on my nerves. The fact that they havent addressed either of these situations is really fucking disappointing, by their OWN definition of hostage taking, Carol wasn't breaking the rules and the survivors were is just.. ugh. And the transphobic developer is a whole nother can of fucking worms. Bhvr needs to step up or theyre sure as shit not getting another cent from me.

I don't think a permaban was warranted and I do think that the survivors should've received some kind of ban too but let's not pretend like like LAMF did nothing wrong lmao. He doesn't help his case by stating on stream "I'm going to bodyblock you in the corner now until the server dies" and "I'm going to play Mario for a literal hour, fuck you" then proceeds to AFK until the gens get done and EGC happens. Realistically he should've slugged them out or just killed the Ada and reported them, there's no point in playing with fire especially when you want the people who did it first banned but then don't expect anything when you do it yourself. It's petty and pointless, just report and go next jfc.
I do think the lack of transparency in the rules of Dead By Daylight is sort of a problem.
If u got 2 ppl left n still need to do 4 gens then they don't have to do gens imo. The game is a loss for survivors n if a killer can't find em oh well. So it takes a long time to find the survivors so the killer has alittle temper tantrum. Grow up.
I'm gonna be impartial here and say that they both should be banned. I'm sorry you retaliated in the same way when you should have been the bigger person and just reported them. 2 wrongs don't make a right And unfortunately David suffered the penalty for it.But the survivor should not have gotten away with it either.They should have been banned as well If that was the way behavior was gonna go.
The fact there is nothing in the works to fix this 2v1 holding hostage situation is wild to me . I actually had this happen to me on midwitch . On my case the match lasted an entire hour and i won after a server timeout.
Hiding isn’t holding hostage. Chase is still available and etc. it’s equivalent to hard tunneling
Their objective is to escape. Both just happened to be playing for hatch.
I think it’s cringe and I hate teammates that do it but it’s not against the rules. It’s just really cringe.
We can make fan fics about why these survivors did it and etc but some people experience doesn’t mean every person does stuff for the same reason.
Blocking someone in a corner does physically remove ANY ability to play as killer is suppose to kill and they are actively not doing it.
I do believe they should not be perma banned though. That’s kinda nuts.
Two wrongs don’t make a right
I have some questions about the idea of something bad happening to players that refuse to do their objective.first how would it tell the difference between someone refusing to do Gens vs someone you can't find one? What about people going for sabatoge of flashlight saves? How long do you have to not do gens before something happens? Lastly what would happen?
While permabanning the person is a bit extreme. They should’ve just downed and hooked the Ada being the bigger person. Instead they just made the game last even longer than they needed it to.
The fact theres deadbeats in the comments defending the clear guilty party (the survivors) and making it an Us Vs Them thing isn’t surprising
Maybe it was a coordinated attack to get him banned, what if they were a SWF and as soon as he bodyblocked Ada the other continued on like they weren't holding the game hostage
Being real losing 2 people early with 4/5 gens the only objective is hatch two people aren't surviving. It is annoying when you can't find people but the game gives you detection and tracking options. I can understand the killers frustration but two wrongs to make it right, a perma ban is extreme though 😂
just a reminder that BHVR added a whole new mechanic to stop killers from defending gens too well, but nothing for survivors just hiding the entire match
I think both are wrong. The shots back are still shots nonetheless. The spirit main I belive needed a slap on the wrist but not a full on ban.
Didn't you know? Survivors can do anything guilt free while killer needs to be bullied, harassed, and ridiculed just for loading in (obvious sarcasm, don't do this)
Being banned for being toxic is genuinely stupid in general
A while ago when i was trying to learn blight, i went against a p100 survivor using no mither, flip flop, unbreakable and boil over with a badham offering. She just camped out in the corners of the underground floors of main and house of pain. Once I'd killed two people i went for her and body blocked her then went afk to let her die to either the 1 hour timer or end game collapse. If you use a bullshit strategy, you have to expect bullshit to be thrown back at you. These survivors were mad that they got beaten at their own game
This happened very recent is that I was playing on Ormond, and these 2 Adams let both of their team die and didn’t do gens. And they held me hostage for a good few minutes until I found both in basement
Easy fix for killer holding hostage is remove the killers hit box so survivors can walk through after 3 minutes
For survivors 5 minutes of doing nothing birds spawn on survivors and won't be removed unless engaged in a chase and or working on a generator for 50 seconds
Rather recently there was a bug on autohaven maps that would allow the survivors to leave the bound of the map and get behind the exit gate, where the killer, unless if they are a nurse, could not reach them. I was held hostage that way for an entire hour.
When I asked them they justified it because I was being "sweaty" because I was holding a 3 gen.
Blame the devs for the BS, ive said time and time again that if a survivor does not touch a gen for 2 minute, they should get crows
TBH all parties involved kind of suck here. I absolutely think the permaban is overkill, but it's possible that Carol had been banned before and just isn't telling the truth. Everyone involved should have gotten a 24-hour suspension and moved on. This Carol dude definitely do himself any favors by acting like a baby on Twitter about the whole thing. Both sides frequently choose to play in shitty ways, it's nothing new or interesting or worth fussing about on social media.
