  1. As a partial Knight main, one great thing to do is after you damage a gen that has high progress, put Jailer on patrol at the gen to force some regression and put pressure at the gen

  2. Personally, I'd have replaced 1 or maybe even 2 of those 3 info perks with sloppy butcher and maybe even monstrous shrine, which are just about all the pressure you can apply with general+knight perks. I feel like there's only so much info you need, and you can get just about all of it using 1-2 slots with that selection of perks.

  3. Tbh I would replace hex face the darkness with spies from the shadows and whispers for bitter murmur or sloppy butcher, cause hex face the darkness will more than likely get broken at some point plus spies kinda gets activated more

  4. I would recommend for beginners to not use call to arms but map of the realm instead, is more forgiving when learning the character and they will not get used to increased guard set up speed and range making them feel like they now always have to use it, altho to be fair… Call to arms should have been made half basekit like map of the realms did instead of Pillagued mead but that is one of my many main grievances for the rework.

I would also reccomend to replace face the darkness outside of the undetectable torch build, but very glad you are reccomending Whispers, is unnavoidable detection and has a 32 metres range wich is the same as base guard summoning distance allowing you to know when you enter max range snipes on gens with barely any warning for survivors… Outside of the glitched footsteps right now.

Another whispers tip for people wanting to use it, Whispers is based on your location while you are in power so it can be used for hyper fast scouting if is off and you want to know where survivors are use power and move it will turn on if your path entered the 32 metres range you can just cancel power it will turn off and now you can triangulate easier the survivors positions.

Another tip one can give to brand new survivors is to use an Assassin when picking someone up, it has more or less the same cool down than what it takes for you to pick someone up and walk them to a hook… If you are off cooldown that is.

I hate this rework man, has so many buts… Even if I love the character is draining me emotionally off the game.

  5. I love these videos, however I don't think a beginner (even with extensive explanation) will know how to use whispers. Which is a shame since a lot of the builds presented have whispers in them.

  6. For a new player id recommend taking out one of the info perks for sloppy butcher . Too much information perks can be a lot to take in for a new player imo

Also sloppy butcher provides a slowdown to keep survivors off generators

  7. From a Knight main:

Letting a guard, most likely jailer, patrol a regressing gen is often not worth it. It ‘de-activates’ your power for a long time and the 24 seconds of protected regression causes 6% to get lost, which is pretty much an extra kick. It is more worth it to use guards for chases.

Stridor is very good for tracking survivors in guard-setting-mode. Surveillance has an often overlooked feature where it makes it able to hear repairs from further away, which can help you decide earlier to either cancel or set the guard.
Even bloodhound can be useful in maps with darker floors to track injured survivors.

    Tips per guard:

Carnifex: pre-select him when entering chase, you don’t always know when you need to break a pallet or wall quickly. When approaching a pallet, start setting the carnifex and destroy the pallet when it’s thrown, when the survivor runs away without throwing the pallet, cancel the patrol because it is faster than finishing the patrol and doesn’t trigger the cooldown. His best use is to break things in chase or kick gens when survivors have blast mine.
Assasin: use him when you know where a survivor is. For example a gen or a recently unhooked survivor, but also aura reveals. His best use is to get survivors hit.
Jailer: use him to scout an area, for example shack or eyrie’s main building. He can lock down an area and in chase, you can often force a survivor to either enter the guards field, or take an m1 hit. His best use is to make survivors waste time by having to run away.

Additionally, don’t be afraid to hit a survivor that is being chased by a guard. Getting the ‘double tap’ is hard to pull off and more often than not the survivor will manage to outrun the guard. (Especially carnifex).

Lastly, when you approach a gen that is almost being completed, damage it with the assasin or jailer. The long breaking animation buys you time to get to the gen. If you would have broken it with the carnifex, the survivors could work on it immediately after and still complete the gen in time.

    Hope this helped!
