Been interested in Dead By Daylight for a while and just haven't got it because I was unsure whether I'd like it or not, but I'm a big fan of every Alan Wake game (including American Nightmare XD), so the inclusion pushed me over the edge to buy and play the game.
I love the fact that it’s stated in his lore that this was all part of his attempt to escape the Dark Place, and he’s technically not stuck in the Entity’s realm
Hehe. Havent had a chance to read through Alan’s tome yet, but ‘Michelle’ struggling to read without her glasses makes me laugh, because 90% of Mikaela’s cosmetics remove her glasses 😅 great video as always, I always look forwards to these roundups on lore because I usually have zero clue what’s going on with them, and you’re great at explaining and analyzing them in a way that makes sense!
Herald of Darkness compilation at the start was EXACTLY what I hoped for from this video. I've listened to Herald Of Darkness an unhealthy amount of times in the last few months.
Bro, we got Alan, the universe has already been contacted I NEED A CONTROL CHAPTER. The atmosphere of The Oldest House in dbd is something I absolutely need. Plus with how intertwined the two games are post DLC its only fitting that Director Jesse Faden (and the Hiss) comes in too.
A great video from you! If I may, there's just oooooone thing I'd like to clear up lorewise:
19:37 ~ You mention Mr. Scratch as Alan's "sadistic and evil alter ego", and that's not entirely correct (even as the Dark Half influences are there). During American Nightmare, Alan describes Mr. Scratch as a manifestation of all the awful, bad-faith rumors and stories around him, including a penchant for murder. Without going too much into the story and its associated spoilers, Scratch is…_quite different_ in AW2. Still malevolent, still a blight on Alan's existence. But 13 years under a Lake does weird things to people.
I hope we get Jesse Faden in DBD

This is most definitely the best kind of content to view while drunk off gin and waiting to board a flight at three in the afternoon. :3
Yeah nah, the best one will be Shaggy Rogers

Are we just going to ignore that Pixel Bush's version of the clicker is Skull Merchant's radar…

Alan typing: "Jake Park stuck to the gen like glue, he held that m1 despite imminent danger"
Huntress: "Noooo, my Pop value! Take that!"

Still would LOVE if we ever got a Cry of fear chapter just to showcase one of the best Indie horror games ever made.
cheryl mason is still my favorite licensed survivor ever
I dont know why, but I like Alan Wake so much even though I haven't played his games
I just imagine the entity back handing the dark presents and taking wake
The WE SING chapter was one of my absolute all time fav gaming moments

This gives me hope for a potential Amnesia chapter!
I love seeing a positive dbd video, it warms my heart
I recommend playing alan wakes American nightmare if you haven't already. It adds more lore to the alan wake story
kinda wish Alan was the killer, Mr. Scratch but whatever, I like it anyway.
Aaaah, so my favorite video game protagonist was finally added to Dead By Daylight…. So now when do they add Krieg or Handsome Jack as killers?
1:28 DUDE, you forgot the head tilt
Ughhh coulda been Elvira
That opening was killer ❤
a awesome game music video intro? i didn't know i needed that but thank you
Can we get the Herald of Darkness compilation from the beginning as a solo video?
Video idea Godzilla in dead by daylight potential and problems
Since I found DBD I've been saying Alan Wake fits it lorewise. I got so excited
Personally, i think alan wake is kinda lame, ive always seen the game as a rated M luigis mansion but you all seem to enjoy it so much
Just got Alan Wake 2 and I've been waiting for this video! Excited to come back to it after I finish the game!
