All 32 Maps Ranked from Worst to Best (Dead by Daylight Map Tier List)

Read more Dead by Daylight ➜ https://deadbydaylight.mgn.tv

Hey everyone, today we’re going to be ranking every single map in Dead by Daylight. For this list I won’t be ranking the map that’s best for survivors or for killers but instead assess the maps wholly for both sides, with the higher maps being the most balanced ones.

The Resident Evil x Dead by Daylight chapter is out and the new killer is Nemesis and survivors, Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine. The Racoon City Police Department is the new map!

  1. I do not agree with all the placements of the maps on this list… it highly depends on you and the other players. I have mained both survivor and killer. The best example is RPD. I had problems at RPD not because of the map, but because I had bad survivor team mates. As killer I had more luck because I did not have to work about the survivors healing instead of unhooking. I knew the map from RE2 and it is similar, but it has doorways that are not from RE2. Also chief burns office had an exit that went to the car park for RE2, in DBD it opens up close to the main hall. The other way to the car park in DBD was the killer basement. I doubt they wanted too, but I believe they could have had some parts of the map be more faithful while others could of changed. One example could be instead of opening the chiefs office to the rest of the building, make a hook room, like the normal basement, but a room that has the indestructible hooks without going down stairs. It would be an alternative Placement. Also the police offices to the left from the main doors could have the non-vaulting window be a vaulting window. They also added onto the outside of the map to make the other exit door, how about just making a brick wall like the outdoor maps block the area where you get the green club key in RE2 and have the other exit door at the steel bar windows on the near the whiteboard with “cap” circled just make it look like the stranger things map and have the exit gate look like it smashed in the building. I do feel like the map is balanced for both survivors and killers, just not every tile is balanced for both. Some are better for killer, some are better for survivor.

  2. I actually really enjoy Haddonfield as a killer
From my time playing, I find that the varied heights and claustrophobic nature of the houses often results in survivors not wanting to go in them because it's easy for them to get cornered, and instead usually hang around the backyards and do the generators there

That and I love mindgaming survivors with the white picket fences and reaching over and slapping them when they think they're safe

Or maybe I'm just a masochist

  3. RPD is the kind of map you can tell was made purely for fun and not to be favoring anyone in a competitive state.
Unless you're Nemesis, in which case, you're the map's best Killer and this is your best map for him.

  4. Tbh raccoon city slightly overrhated it’s such a bad map it’s good that as killer or survivor I generally enjoy playing it because it’s tight clostphobic but also massive u can get scared by a killer and u can scare the shit out of survivors when people learn the map it will turn in the favour of survivors heavily but I always enjoy my games on it might be because I’m biased to RE but I’d prefer to play that map over at least 10 maps on this list especially the swamp ones

  5. dead dawg saloon it's not a fair map at all and this is why: those breakable are there just to help the survivors so you basicly have to spend 2 minutes to break all the walls if you wanna have an easier time looping and if you play it normally it can be a really fun map for both sides, but if you just lock down a 3 gen near shack and you play it right the survivors will never break that 3 gen and if you also have basment in shack this map is even worse

  6. Back in the day i could keep a killer busy for at least 3 gens, without looping and useing only 2 pallets, it makes me sad how the games changed. and i played it ruffly(idk the exsact time) 3 years ago

  7. completely disagree on Dead Dawg, all the loops except for the main building (which can be made way worse by breaking the wall at the top) are meh at best, and all the loops that are normally strong can be completely ruined by breaking the walls, there's a 3 gen at almost every part of the map, its open enough for mobility and ranged killers, but there's enough cover for stealth killers, the map is small and feels even smaller because the edges are largely barren of anything but rocks, the spawns are horrible and with time you can learn where they spawn based on where you spawn, the only thing going for survivors is that totems are easy to find and some of the bushes are good to hide in if playing blendette.

  8. The 2 swamp maps have some random spawn trees that create awkward situations (the trees which are just stumps slightly taller than the killers) they can spawn in such a ways as to create a gap a survivor can fit through but the killer can't. Had this happen with a friend on Pale Rose that created a gap at the corner of the pier that the survivors could get through but the killer couldnt, making the base of the pier a ridiculously strong loop as it was basically an abusable window… there's also other gaps around the map that look traversal but have invisible walls, as well as gen spawns that look like they are 2-3 people but only have 1 active work spot for survivors.
Edit: before people ask the date of the incident with my friend detailed above was 30 July 2021, literally a day before this video released.
