In today’s video we ditch talk about the meta, popularity, or any other conventional metric and ask the question: which character has the best aesthetic design? We’re doing Killers today but there will be a Survivor companion piece in the future.

My favorite original base killer designs are Wraith, Doctor, Clown, Ghostface (made up design), Artist, and the Knight

I wish that they went a little farther with Artist's design. I'd love if she had more bird-like features, like her legs bending backwards like a crane
The one thing I dislike about Bubba is his black eyes, in the movie you can see his human eyes. It yes humanized Bubba but made it a little more unsettling that it was a human wearing someone else's skin as a mask.
The black eyes obvious fit Myers cause that's literally part of his description by Loomis

4:13 The leg that's wrapped up is the same leg that gets caught in a bear trap when you step on one. It's a fun little detail.
While the Spikes on Hillbillys Chainsaw are a bit too, lets say spiky. They do exist and have a use.
You can press them against wood and grip it, to do a "circle" motion.

I love Artist and Spirit they are S+ for me beacuse you can see the dramatic bs in their visual design so easily and the entity turn this dramatic characters into a scary creature
I think what makes huntress unique is that shes basic but with a disturbing twist.

2. Doctor is an A for me because he's likely based off of Yang Yongxin, who used ECT to cure video game addiction. Spark of Madness being an extreme version of real-life abuse is horrifying! He's scary because he's someone you're supposed to trust. Bad things have happened in the name of science/medicine and people like him got away with it! 😱
3. I love Wraith and Huntress. You can see the human in the unhuman and they just feel like classic scary bedtime story folklore monsters!
4. I don't care what anyone says, all of the licenses in this game are well done. It's a huge task to bring an iconic character to life in a way that honors their spirit and BHVR has proven themselves capable of doing so. Which is why Stranger Things was an immense loss for the game. Unfortunately, I personally think it's going to be a LONG time before it returns. Season 5 is going to be the final season and it's not coming out till 2024-2026. Maybe when the show officially ends is when Netflix will offer it back to DBD, to milk it for money. They still suck for doing this. Thank you if you read, everyone.

Clown attempts to look more important with the ringleader outfit showing us his pathetic egotism, but the implication he killed it’s wearer for it is terrifying. Best design hands down.
Personally, i still can't see the doctors weapon as what a lot of other people see it ass.
The thing has a SPIKED end with spikes along the sides in some spots. . . I just can't see it much less actually using it for stuff like that, and that's coming from someone who once had a hook up there. Not a pointed hook, but still a hook. 🪝
Edit: i find it a bit odd though that licensed killers are included too (with the exception of ghost face) because for the most part they weren't the ones who designed those characters, so rating their designs compared to the ones they did come up with and make feels a bit off. Some of the designs OTHER people made are iconic horror legends just brought into dead by daylight, would give them a bit of an unfair advantage compared to original characters imo.

I'm disappointed that you didn't give Clown Grade A, by allowing the chicken suit. Specifically. I mean sure he got the A+ he deserves, but not in the right way!
I absolutely hate the hair coming out of the knight's eye slits.
Also, for some reason human hands are hard for the art team. Look at Julie's checkered flannel cosmetic from one of the rifts. I'm 6'7" and my hands aren't that big!

43:21 that's a sickle. They are also used for cutting and farming. The character death in puss and boots the last wish also uses them.
