Does anyone else have memories of them playing RE:RESISTANCE? That game was something I played every time I came home from work late at night. Super fun, unbalanced, and a tightly-knit community. Enjoy this gameplay commentary as the Nemesis in Dead by Daylight from my recent Twitch livestream!

  1. I remember of RE Resistance espacially cause in vilian it was impossible to find a game one time i wait 20 minutes for finding a game and even after i din't find a game and cause of that i never play vilian role

  2. REsistance was something special, honestly. The idea of playing a Dungeon Master style of antagonist setting up obstacles reminded me a lot of those old PC games from the 90s that banked on that concept, but you had the unpredictability and fun of different builds, different Masterminds and the fact it was asymmetrical multiplayer. It's just a shame that Capcom were happy to drop two major updates and then let it die after they'd gotten their money's worth.

  3. My favorite mastermind in the game had to be Trap/Infection Alex. Spencer and Nicholai were the OP shit, Annette and Daniel were the originals, and Alex was the troll. I loved seeing the survivors use all the blue herbs on the map and then die to infection anyway. Or a 4-team wipe by a stunlock trap speed activation equipment.

  4. I still don't get what the devs were thinking when they came up with infection status. All it does is make you cough. There should be a good reason why you should have to use the antivirus. I usually go the whole match without using it. Nemesis imo was a dumb killer for RE chapter. They should've gone with the licker or Mr. X or the tyrant. Especially since Nemesis was only the enemy of Jill out of all the survivors we have for dbd. Another thing that amazes me is that all the survivors look nothing like they do in RE but Leon. Chris is the worst because he's too short. They made him look like a short stocky dude. You can tell just looking at him that something seems way off. As far as the RPD map, it was designed for a single player puzzle game, not an a symmetrical horror game, that and the fact it's a maze with dead ends makes it the worst map in dbd for both survivors and killer.

  5. Man, I remember when I used to play Resident Evil: Resistance. I was a hardcore Daniel Fabron main (with Nicholai secondary), and it was just honestly the most fun time when people weren't trying to rush the games or try to be "meta" all the time (especially with Shotguns). It's unfortunate that the game is dead, because it really could've been something.

That said, it has a better gameplay loop (at its core) than Dead by Daylight.
