I honestly think it is an issue as it’s so easy to pull off. Being able to complete a gen before a Killer even gets to the 1st one to defend is a joke in my opinion.
You will not believe what this team did in the first game to try and get a win LOL!

I think gen-rushing is fully a problem, but it's too complicated to fully capture the depth of the issue without writing a full essay at this point. To summarize; Gen Rushing is a very effective strategy, when survivors are coordinated. When a SWF does it, it's absolutely brutal. Especially when they build into the strat. Against a group of solo-queue? Well… it varies a LOT. Most times, it really depends on what rank you're playing at. In low-rank games it doesn't have a strict pattern of success, but in high-ranked games survivor groups are more likely to default into doing it than the lower-ranks.
At the same time, you can't blame survivors for doing this. First of all, generators are f*cking boring to do. I only ever found generators fun to do when I was first playing the game and was still getting scared of each killer. There was tension, adrenaline, and suspense in the actions. Sometimes doing gens against a Freddy or an Onryo is fun, doing gens against Doctor can be fun too, but the only consistently "fun" time to do sense is when you have a tense endgame against the killer and those can quickly stretch on into taking way too long or just become toxic.
Secondly, killers are literally telling survivors to gen rush all the time. In the vast majority of discourse I've seen around the game, whenever survivors complain about camping or tunneling the killers always say "then just do gens". It's the only counter survivors have to camping and tunneling, the only one, and it usually only works well enough for 2 people to get out- assuming it works. You wanna know what's less fun than doing gens? Getting hooked and watching the killer patrol so close the radius never leaves hook. and then when I do get unhooked they tunnel me down again. At least with gens I get to do something. Look at the healing nerf, every time a survivor complained there'd be killer mains crawling out of the woodwork saying "just do gens".
And yes, I'm aware it's "not all killers", but in the same breath it's "not all survivors" either. We get people in this community who play one role religiously and act like they know what's best for the game mechanics, but they're honestly the minority. The majority of us play both roles, and we use that as a shorthand in every comment- "I play both, but here's my opinion"… and what it really means is we use it as a way to justify that we should somehow be the godly authority on what changes the game needs.
I don't have a solution to this problem. I think the main issue I see is people thinking that the only way to have fun in a game is to win the game, and I think most people don't have a practical definition of what "winning" a match looks like in an Asymmetrical PvP like this. Survivors shouldn't be expecting to win every chase, nor should killers. Killers shouldn't expect getting a 4K every game, nor should survivors expect to get everyone out. Yet for some reason, both sides seem to make these assumptions every time when it comes time to talk about changes and metas and strategies.
As it stands, in the current ecosystem, if killers don't want gen-rushing then they need to stop telling survivors to do it when they complain about killers tunneling and camping. Moreover, Behavior needs to change gens as a whole and stop making them so boring to do in the first place, as well as so exploitable for either side.
My Suggestion for Prove:
15% to just the person who brought it; however, if 2 or more Surv have Prove on same gen, then it gives them 5% instead
Devs will do nothing with gen speed. But don't worry. They will add some new skins for the meg and feng)
I have a feeling that after the healing nerf, they will do something with the genrush, they seem to have started to cut off the problematic corners of the game, and I think the fair change of the brand new part was not an additional 25 percent in 5 seconds, but the use of the entire charge of the toolbox either instantly, or ditto 5 seconds, it's essentially a similar effect as it saves time, but this progression isn't pulled out of thin air
2 games wow even though pretty much every update is in the favor of killers with big nerfs on survivors, suck it up cupcake cause survivors don't have it any easier, maybe you should give Candy Crush a go since that seems to be more your speed.
yep…and so many ppl wanted to revert the nerfs to healing speed. healthy survivors not having to heal for long have much more time doing generators…not to mention the already too quick repair speed especially when paired with prove thyself, resilience etc. as always items and addons play a big role in all of that.
I would like it if gens were more interactive than just a random skill check every couple seconds. I’m not exactly sure what I’d like in its place but it’s boring as is, and I know everyone agrees.
To be fully frank, I think that if they added extra steps to finishing gens, like looting for parts or something, it would freshen up the gameplay, of course with the appropriate buffs and nerfs to balance it out.
Gens in this game are just way too inconsistent. They can take 10 seconds or 10 years and it’s fully dependant on the perks used by both sides. All gen perks (for both sides) should be gutted to have near insignificant effects to keep gens more consistent

So, I play both sides, and I think that Brand New Parts are a serious issue. Do I use them? Absolutely. Would I be perturbed if they were reworked or removed to not be so crazy powerful as they still are? No, not at all. The fact that a coordinated SWF with the right builds can instantly complete 4 generators before they are even found by the killer, it's just… rare or not, it's something that needs to be fixed.
You killers tunnel a survivor out the game from minute one but get mad when survivors try their damn best to get out asap?
Gen Rush in a SWF is just disgusting. All the Yo-yo and just complete disregard make it extremely frustrating. 4 vs 1 in the battle of attrition is totally imbalanced.
They need to rework BNP and give killers at least a 60s Intervention on farthest gens.
brand new part should be heavily reworked, because it offers no risk and high reward.

Imagine crying over 1 or 2 BNP's….. The problem is you play by the survivors rules by being nice. That's your own fault.
If we don't have gen defense like its going to be next patch, gen speed perks and tools need to go.
Honestly if could just be the way you patrol the gens which is the problem. If it's not one thing with a lot of killer mains it's another. If not healing speeds then it's gen speeds. Survivor mains have complaints too but you killer mains really try to make it seem like it's such an issue that us survivors are doing what's in our title…surviving lol
Gen rush on swf is op. Gen rush on solo doesnt exist. I always play solo and never ever have something like a gen rush.
Not only have BHVR nerfed all the regression perks over the past year but they haven’t done anything to the gen speed perks except Overzealous & that has been buffed with a double buff coming in the next patch. I’m also glad that you acknowledged that the minor buff to Pain Resonance’s regression does not help balance out the nerf.
Me playing killer: how did the gens get done that fast, I've barely done anything?
Me playing survivor: why is this Gen taking 40 years, I've hit all my skill checks? What are my teammates doing… WHY ARE YOU IN A LOCKER, THE KILLER IS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MAP!?!
Gens are absolutely fine, boring and could use a nerf down to 85.
You succumbed to the stress of people spawning together even though you spent aprx 40 base-gen charges on claudette before checking gens. Completely ignored reacting to your suspicions AND lethal auras, leaving 3 surv…
And like every killer, an exp PH at that- you got a survivor out early to secure the match which is always the expected. All the chases seemed typical on both sides for decent gamers.

they nerf all the killer anti generator perks but no nerf on the speed perks on the survivors, that's nonsense…
The only problem is gens are boring af, sitting on one for 90 seconds is already boring af and not fun. I honestly don't know how they change this without making more boring to play as survivor.
I play Killer most of the time. Very rarely do I play survivor and when my friends aren't on, it's torture in solo queue usually. Playing Killer is significantly easier if there's only randoms. I don't lose heart if tryhard parties have 4 escape alive. I know it's more a skill issue than a perk/add-on issue when I win the majority of my games with 3-4 kills. If people struggle against the best teams, then that's more of an MMR issue than anything else.
BNPs need to be removed for sure. Prove Thyself has been "the toolbox that never ends" for me and needs to be re-worked. (it only applies to those you are standing near, you don't get the benefit.)
One thing they could do that I think would help quite a lot is make almost all (if not all) gens only have maximum two people on them at any given time. Just block two of the four sides. There are already 1-2 person gens in the game so just increase that RNG.
It also doesn't help they keep making perks that increase gens times that stack with other perks. I know they don't have a lot of options but… hyperfocus? C'mon…..
I don't know maybe it's just me, but matches like this are exactly why I don't have fun playing killer anymore. You're a killer, you're supposed to feel imposing and deadly, hunting your prey while they try to complete gens, and yet every other game is just chasing one guy while the other 3 in the swf just gen rush so hard. So instead of being able to have fun as a killer, I'm just stressing the entire time, and for what? I'm just tired of it tbh, literally stressing myself out to play something that's not really fun anymore. I don't mind losing, no matter the game I'm playing. But playing against constant sweaty swfs is not enjoyable, I'm glad they like to win and go on streaks of douchebaggery, but it's killing the game for killers imo. It did for me, and yet I have zero stress playing survivor, I couldn't care less if a killer is able to kill me, I'm having fun the entire time even if I'm getting tunneled. I just wish it was like that for the killer.
time to repair gens arent the issue, it's crazy strong toolboxes/addons and prove thyself that are the issue. Increasing base gen repair speed will only punish survivors who play normally and encorage the use of genrush stuff even more.
I feel that if Call of Brine and Pain Res are nerfed into the PTB state. Then the game will become too easy to gen rush. BHVR needs to even out the blow by nerfing perks like Prove because there's no counterbalance to it.

Genrushing is a weird thing for me to fully grasp – I get it, I don't like holding M1 for extremely long amounts of time as much as the next guy. While this can backfire on survivors if they exhaust their resources too quick and get themselves stuck in a very hard to break 3 gen situation, it also puts an ungodly amount of pressure on certain killers if they can't get their own snowball rolling. Personally, I think this is just a part of perk stacking and how it can create some insane situations with gen speeds, gen regression, healing speeds, etc.
Gen speed is definitely a problem and will get worse with healing nerf (do gens instead of longer healing). I am surprised of all the complaining ubsaw with the healing nerfs I didn't see anyone raise this concern.
Gen speeds base are probably fine, but the numerous gen speed up items and perks can lead to the game being out of hand.
I feel like the first 50% of a gen should be completely as it is now, but for every % over 50% it should degrade the effectiveness of items of the gen to slow or even entirely stopping gen rushing late game
I haven't played DBD as long as some of you guys (probably little over a year in total of playtime) but from the looks of it y'all just keep going in circles. This meta vs that meta, nerf this buff that, complaint after complaint. Over the years new things have been added that unintentionally encourage certain play styles. What if the solution is to just update/ adjust some core mechanics.
Like for example we're talking about gens. What's the penalty for missing a skill check, you loose a tiny bit of progress and the killer knows your recent location. More than likely the killer is on the other side of the map chasing somebody else and by the time he gets to where you are, you've already regained that loss progress and more. What if in addition to that when you fail a skill check you suffer from oblivious, blindness with a little bit of blurry vision and you can't work on the gen for 10sec. Could also be for every two skill checks failed on a gen the entity blocks it for 15 secs. With that you could also add more difficult skill checks going clockwise and counter clockwise in a series of 2-4. Or something like that idk. 🤷🏽♂️
