  1. So, flashlight saves are now basically doable by anyone, Lightborn is gonna see a huge rise in use XD if even newcomers can easily and consistently pull off flashlight saves then the Killer builds will change quickly to make them impossible. It's especially a huge buff for SWF teams who were already able to pull it off semi-consistently.

  2. I don't like that they added a buffer, and it's not just because I'm a killer main. The reason they gave for adding them stated that they are game changers, but tricky to pull off. My opinion is that because they are game changers, they should be tricky to pull off. A single flashlight save can, like they said, be a game changer, and completely destroy a killer's advantage. It's not fair to killers to have their advantage taken from them by something that isn't particularly difficult to pull off. It's like Mortal Kombat 11's fatal blows. FBs require precisely zero effort to pull off, and all you need to do is get damaged enough to be able to do it. And no matter how dominated you're getting in a match, chances are, a single FB can be enough to completely turn the tables. Besides, flashlight saves can't be that difficult, based on the fact that I've only ever seen, like, two or three of them fail ever in my life.

  3. Genuine question, who the fuck is doing that locker shit. And if so, just walk away and catch them somewhere else. Nerfing flashlight saves out of lockers because 10 people want to be idiots is absolutely asinine.

  4. Seems a nerf to me. Flashlights are already weak af, no need to nerf them more.
And for the locker, they can just let the killer being blinded and not drop the survivor 👍

  5. Lets say I play a killer then, and I dominate the survivors, he then threatens to report me and does so, then another dude, and another and etc etc. If the devs manually check the reports how then will they determine that the report is a valid one or a fake/just ragemode one? if I go 4k against the same premade by chance for 5 games (senario) then then all decide to report me game 2-5, I'm then fucked? xD

  6. I wonder if "Toxicity has no place in our game" as the devs mentioned, so that means starting from the patch 6.4.0 I can report a player because of t-bagging and so on?

  7. As a fairly high mmr killer (if I had to guess) I definitely don’t see survivors attempt torch saves (flashlights, I’m British so we call ‘em Torches) and it’s actually surprising considering how many are brought in, they’re mainly bought for blinding after stuns. I’m excited to see the buffer in play so people actually are motivated to get a bit more altruistic and not let people die straight away.

  8. I’m glad Behaviour is actually being open and admitting that there’s flaws in the game and they actually are working on it. Transparency was all we needed from them and we finally get them.

  9. Flashlight immunity? Are shitting me? God forbid the killer get blinded while we "make a break for it". The one sided buff from bhvr never seem to let up, they nerf survivors down every chance they get ridiculously. 90% of randoms barely do any gens or hooks as is,when these lack luster killers tunnel and slug us to death, dealing with disconnections on a global scale while they run visiual perks and no ed every killers like its a joke, so they whine when killers have to lose to the 3% of survivors who can actually loop and you nerf us for it? At this point Just make every survivor a quadriplegic amputee, give killers there free 50k blood points and be done with it alredy, youre one sided buffs are just sad .

  10. Flashlight change is huge imo, amount of times i've had in my own opinion a pixel perfect beamer to the peepers, nothing happens, killer walks away and hangs his Feng Steak like normal. Same with when I play killer, amount of times someone gets a beamer on me and im like fuuuucckk nice flash only to realise o shit survivor still on my shoulders XD, feelsbad sometimes i think that adjustment is needed.

  11. This update sounds actually really good. Except for the fact that toxic swf survivors are never gonna miss their flashlight saves anymore unless they are really bad. But at least they nerfed the locker crap.

  12. this seems like a fine thing for flashlights. The times i do get flashlighted against good survivors as killer and they get the save is around 1/5 of the time depending on the players. It's still super annoying but i get it.

  13. I definitely think that the flashlight timing changes is a good overhaul. As is, flashlight saves are so difficult that there is no path to learning the skill through naturally occurring game play. They're basically gated to players which are willing and able to put in a lot of sweat in private lobbies just practicing their skills.

As a killer main, it's always a great feeling in the moment when survivors fuck these up. But it happens so often that I feel a little bit bad for the players that are trying. They're clearly sabotaging their team by making these attempts time after time when it's apparent that the odds of them being successful are near 0%.

More than anything else, I think BHVR needs to implement a small flashlight save tutorial mode if they want to make this part of the game truly accessible.

  14. "They can essentially hold you hostage as a killer" killer mains are proving YET AGAIN that there is nothing they don't think is "unfair" this game is actually so fucked it makes me mad. Might as well just become a killer main now since it doesn't take skill anymore and I can just abuse the new bloodlust buff, killer actions speed buffs and now this bs "locker blind immunity". The devs and killer mains are a fucking joke it makes me sick to my stomach.

  15. Considering that downing a survivor is (in majority of games) a GUARANTEED hook this seems very fair. Survivors have a very little chance of escaping since they messed with the hook placements and made them much closer together.

  16. The only problem I have with the flashlight buffer is that it decreases the risk involved with flashlight saves for high skilled players. That 0.25 seconds doesn't mean as much for the timing, because skilled survivors already have it down to a science. It matters a significant deal more for the approach that skilled survivors will take. They can hesitate more without it counting as a mistake. I dislike anything that makes survivors stronger at this point.

Not the worst thing in the world, but definitely going to make killer just slightly more annoying to play right now. This meta sucks more and more with every update.
