  1. TL:DW: There's only 5 english speaking Fog Whisperer's in the Top 100 DBD Streamers. For this list to be effective, BHVR needs to add EVERY notable DBD Creator to prevent cheaters from advertising, otherwise, all this achieves is hiding the problem on FW's Streams and forces Cheaters to harrass non-FW's instead.

  2. Prevents them from being matched with cheaters, You literally said one sentence back that they can inject themselves into your lobby. This literally does nothing for everyday players if someone has that cheat. I agree with you dowsey whole heartedly. this just comes off as an insult not to mention because it only helps fog whisperers aka their golden geese it feels like they are just spoiling the people who bring them money. This sucks just give it to everyone

  3. What if for now it is just a test? Like you know, most of the times they wanted to change something about match making they messed up something about it too. From the leak they said whitelisted people are gonna benefit from the system and are there better people to test it than the ones suffering the most from cheating as well as have direct contact to BHVR? Like no body said that whitelist is unchangeable, they can probably add anyone they want at any time but it is smart to test it first and Fog Whispers are the best guinea pigs for this.

Second I have seen concerns about the detection itself, first of all if only limited amount of people gonna benefit by this then mass reporting random players wouldn't be an issue, second it is true that subtle cheaters will have it easier than other ones but I don't see that as an issue, there is no way to prevent all cheating with just one system, this system is not even an prevention itself, the point of this system is to make it harder for people to know about cheats, even removing 5% of cheaters from streamers games will be beneficial for everyone and I am sure the number is far bigger than just 5%.
The ratio of blant to subtle cheaters will shift drastically but so will also the number of cheaters themselves.

  4. I feel like the game should actively avoid queuing you with people frequently reported of cheating. With the option to temporarily opt out of the protection for a specified duration or until you re enable the protection, so that you can see the cheaters live of you want to, but everyone is
    Protected from the issue.

  5. The very thing they said didn’t do anything (reporting without opening tickets) is now the core of their new anti cheat measures. It’s hilarious how messy Behavior own logic is. It’s like they’ve no idea where they are and where they’re heading.

  6. Why cant the server just monitor your speed and location in a match and then when they breach an acceptable number for the situation then you just get banned? Running at 105% with no perks procted or buffs? Banned. Throwing hatchets as Bubba? Banned. Completing a gen in under the alloted time for a gen with no perks or toolbox? Banned.

  7. You know what all i gotta say is anyone who is upset about anything he said in this video is just not understandable. I get they are fog whisperers and they seemingly come first but I really am hoping they fix it for everyone. And waste no time doing so. We don't wanna deal with hackers just as much as they don't. I get it if the fog whispers are getting it first that's fair mainly because they are most targeted. But i really hope they didn't just forget about the rest of the dbd community.

  8. I am glad that 踢虧 is the number 2 of the top 100 streamer. In Asia, hacker is a long problems in 2 to 3 years ago, I think that a good report cheaters ways to solve the problems, expect the anonymous mode is affect the big problem of report cheaters

  9. And then there's the average player, who will still have to suffer the cheaters, and who will get reported for using the wrong perks and then be forced to play against cheaters more often. Wow great system. It's like how not talking about the crime rate definitely makes the crime rate go down.

  10. I'm a nobody but here's what I wrote to BHVR during a recent survey: The survey touched on a long standing idea I've had for DBD. The in-game end-game reporting should be more about developing reputation on players, and mostly hands off for the developers. As players finish games and vote on how the other players performed, that feedback should follow them for about a month. The feedback isn't streamlined now. Once a vote is being made, the center option should be positive, for easy access. On the outward ends should be the negative options: toxic, tunnel, working with killer, all the benign stuff that players want to vent and then move on. These votes would add up and average out, and should be viewable for the next lobby. A finer point, the killer and survivors should be able to view each other's reputations in the matched pre-game lobby. Then players can choose to leave that lobby or stay if they find the reputations acceptable. More importantly, the in-game voting could also become an enforcement system. If a threshold of ten votes on a player indicate cheating, then that notifies staff that this player is actively cheating. This system once completed should greatly improve player satisfaction.

  11. I think that this mostly just experimenting, and in that case it's pretty much fair for them do to that in any capacity. We just flash react as a community to anything, and quiet down in a week or two. Chill guys

  12. Hello Dowsey, I think you all are missing the point. I am NO fog whisperer. I am also NO content creator. I am just a regular player. Guess what. I also got cheaters regulary and it is no fun for me either. But I am not important to BHVR. They claim to have a list of cheaters, yet thet do NOT ban the cheaters but protect the IMPORTANT FOG WHISPERERS against it. So according to BHVR every player can drop dead when it comes about cheaters except 250 presidents that play for Fog Whisperer. Starting from this day on I will not put a dime into BHVR anymore till they give me the same protection against cheaters as they give to their 'money bringing' Fog Whisperes. Thank you for your video and your opinion.

  13. The fact this guy isn’t a Fog Whisperer actually baffles me. The information and breakdowns are so good because he isn’t afraid to tell the truth, not bend it or hide/avoid it. Behaviour don’t realise the value of someone who is open and pin pointing the problems they have. Much love for Downey 🖤

  14. People not only use cheats to annoy content creators but to win with help because they are frustrated of being bad at the game. Protecting every creator wouldnt address the marketing issue because they will do it in the end game chat as they are already doing.

  15. If I just look at the channels that got me into DBD the game and the community this being selectively only available to Fog Whisper means one of like 10 would have protection against hackers in the system and that would greatly annoy me considering the one I watch now definitely is going to be targeted.

Ohmwrecker to Ohtufo to Dowsey to theJRM’s live streams and other’s livestreams and videos(almost all of which were on that list and none of which were fog whispers)

This isn’t going to be fun for me because of the things I like the most about the streamers I watch tend to be there establish theories that require wind streaks or a specific clause that a cheater can easily fuck up.

Then if you think about it in terms of collaborations if they can’t get a fog whispers are gonna go after the people they collaborate with the most who aren’t fog whispers and that’s not gonna be fun for their friendships or their business strategies. Like, I’m sure their friendships will survive but it sucks to be the reason why your friends are being targeted.

  16. My issues with this hacker measure with 0 time to think about all the issues with this hacker measure:
-Every stream sniping hacker is going to have smurfs
-This lowers the pool of players that streamers can play with which may be manipulated into egregious queue times
-This still doesn't fix the fact that there is literally a program that automatically snipes people if you have their steam ID
