  1. Id kinda like to see him as a off-trap killer, the sister just harasses survivors and they can either lead her to a hole (slowdown) or kick her (giving daddy rage)

Im happy with more dash killers, esp cos he could just be single charge slam forward bringing anyone he hits with him and I guess similar to wesker but without the infection or sideways directions

  2. I love all the moving parts you gave thr big daddys kit. Id say the only change id make is there being four survivors their odds of finding the little sister would be too high vs the bid daddy so maybe make it so if the survivors find her she will relocate to another locker ans the next time she is found by them they can return her.

You could even add a cool little animation where the survivor tries to pick her up out of it and she throws a fit and Decisive Strikes them with her needle, stunning them for a bit and running away.

Also ill say BioShock made me feel paternak fatherly feelings for Elizabeth i didnt know i had in me. It somehow got me to be incredibly over protective of a bunch of pixels. If that aint stellar writing i dont know what is, oh and amazing performances from the voice actress too.

  3. What I want from this series but even more so from behavior itself is exploration of ideas and how they'll interact with console not just pc. Folks like Nurse and Blight are top tier in PC matches but way harder to control on console so I'd like more mobility stuff and powers to think of that when designing new killers

  4. You could also use the Alpha series of Big Daddies as a killer. They could only be bonded to one Little Sister, and when theirs died they’d either go into a depression-induced coma, die outright, or (in the case here) become completely and violently insane

  5. One of the biggest ironies of BioShock is that accepting moderate Christians would have somewhat corrected for the failures of his ideology(do to having compassion focused moral frameworks that are compatible with the idea of rational self-interest), he really screwed himself and Rapture over by rejecting(including banning the Bible) the very people who could have reconciled notions of; duty, integrity and compassion with those of self-interest, free will and ambition. A libertarian society while a good idea, needs a form of morality independent from the government to not devolve into the very tyranny it decries.

  6. I feel what would be even more interesting is if you were playing as the little sister instead of the big daddy, and you were ordering around the big daddy by riding on its shoulder.

  7. Bioshock is a deeply personal and important franchise to me. You’ve certainly done it justice here, and I can admit that even if I don’t precisely agree with your choice of a Killer (Big Sister or bust!)
Personally, I’ve been working on a Big Sister Killer concept for a while but writers block has been kicking my ass in that department. My personal picks for a map would be between Fort Frolic and Outer Persephone, specifically Eleanor’s Quarantine chamber. Fucking exceptional atmosphere. And for a Survivor, it’s between Elizabeth and Tenenbaum. I think Tenenbaum as a character is very interesting and seeing her in the Fog would be really cool given how badass she is.

  8. I have dreamt of a Bioshock chapter for so long. That and a Coraline adaptation are all I want. Though its extremely unlikely I would love a double killer and survivor chapter with a Big Daddy and a Big Sister as two separate killers, with Booker and Elizabeth as their own survivors. There's plenty of legendary character options from there too. You could have the twins for the survivors, evil bad ending Eleanor as a Big Sister and good ending Eleanor as a survivor skin, while the Big Daddy could have options to turn into a Bouncer, Rosie, or Alpha, maybe even a mini Songbird. They sized down the Xenomorph Queen and Nemesis, why not Songbird. I want this franchise in DBD so much lol.

  9. I think BHVR should do what they did with the Silent Hill chapter and bring a bit of every game of the franchise into one chapter
Like have the Rapture map from 1
BUT have the little sister from the second game as the killer (My concept would be that they have a Plasmid roulette similar to Knight's, where they have 3 different plasmids they could use to chase survivors or buff themselves, meanwhile the Little Sisters would have another power that allowed themselves to jump to walls and grab onto them before pouncing into the survivors)
And the survivor would be Elizabeth from Infinite, with her character bio being that shes the version that tried to chase after Comstock, but ended up in the Entity's realm by accident, and now she can't escape the trials

  10. I'd just like you to know that despite having quit DBD due to frustrations with BHVR's balancing team and how they treat killers' powers, I still find your analysis and dry humor entertaining enough to keep listening to prospective chapters of a game I've given up on. Keep up the good work!

  11. As a bioshock you have done more this justice beyond what I could have hoped and come up with the best power idea for this chapter and no shock Elizabeth would be the survivor choice (though I really do not like her character after burial at sea). This has been the dream chapter for me and my sister who have been playing this game every year since 2010.

I can already see the trailer being a little sister gathering Adam when a survivor goes near her and she just scream "Unzip them mr B!" with the big daddy appearing from behind a wall to shot their drill at the survivor.

I really hope that the day comes that my dream chapter comes out. So 2K and Behaviour would you kindly make this happen already.

  12. I would’ve made Subject Delta the killer of the Chapter. He’s the main character of Bioshock 2, and has a backstory that’s actually rather in depth. He could’ve been nabbed by the entity after he was shot in the head at the very beginning, or at the end when he finally gets his little sister back, enraging him once again.

  13. Plus, you didn't mention this but the Big Daddies, can and have gone berserk. Either when their little sister has been killed by splicers or is rescued, it isn't fully explored too much in Bioshock one, besides the Berserk Big Daddy in the Proving Grounds. But the potential is there for the Entity to let loose a Berserk Big Daddy loose in a DBD proving ground arena, to make things interesting, the survivors could be Splicers, there's plenty of named Splicers in the game, and they could be the canon fodder the Entity plucks for their sins in life. To add even more variety to the Proving grounds, the Splicers (players) could instantly hack Turrets or Cameras to aid them while in the arena, these would have a cooldown, or bar to return them to hostile state, so they aren't fixed player control. That way they are used in the moment to aid the player against the killer but not forever. The cameras would catch the Big Daddy (killer) in its sight, giving all Splicers awareness of the killer for a brief period and summoning flying turrets to weaken but NOT kill the Big Daddy, kind of like stunning or slowing them down. Similar to a effect in other games called "pinned down" where you move at a fraction of the movement speed, and this would hamper the Big Daddy greatly as if he's a speed killer, being slowed down at any capacity would allow the Splicers time to fix generators or make a escape. Same with Rocket Turrets or Turrets in corridors or corners. The Splicer would have access to 2 main items, the wrench or pipe or some variant, to stun for a few moments the big daddy. again not doing damage. ofc they would need to get close to use it, which is risky. Splicers second weapon would be the Houdini plasmid, not doing damage, but teleporting the splicer to a random location, it would have a cooldown to avoid being spammed, and give players that necessary escape card if cornered or out in the open. Considering the Big Daddy would have the launchable Drill, to move around quickly this wouldn't feel like a cheat or a overpowering buff for the Splicers, because he can easily find them again or track them down. Hostile turrets would slow down players, again not doing damage. Slowing the player down would give the Big Daddy Time to catch up.

  14. 2K had nothing to due with System Shock 2, it was developed by Looking Glass Studios and Irrational Games with EA as the publisher, and it was Irrational Games who would go on to develop Bioshock under the name of 2K Boston.

  15. I always imagined having the Little Sister as an AI that roams the map, casting an area of effect that heightens the Big Daddy's speed. You could guide it to certain areas by the hand for a mild speed penalty. A survivor could make the risk of trying to temporarily remove a little sister from the match via chute but then gets exposed while holding one.

Also maybe consider adding Night in the Woods to your radar of chapters, I think it'd work well.

  16. Honestly i think it would be cool playing as a little Sister. Every time she hits a survivor she gets Adam, which fills up a meter.Once full she calls in Big Daddy and you switch over to Big Daddy for awhile.

Little Sister: low terror radius (Scratch mirror myers), 110 speed, and can get into vents to move around the map. Ability can track injured survivors “smell their path way” but drains Adam meter.

Big Daddy: large terror radius, 115 speed, drill dash that goes through pallets and can damage gens for extra reduction. Drill dash is an instant down. Drill Dash drains Adam time (Big Daddy’s usage)
    +Big Daddy can’t be stun
-+Drill Dash works like demos lunge but further distance and has a stun effect if attack hits wall, miss)
    -Big Daddy can’t Vault

    Survivor: Tenenbaum

    -Just a quick: thought
