With the Dead by Daylight event and new mmr in play it feels like we will be possibly needing to bring a bit more meta to the games and we get to go over Redโ€™s thoughts on the Otzdarva drama.
I hope you all are ready! Sit back and enjoy some Survivor massacre! Hope the dbd, dbd mobile Dead by daylight mobile, and dead by daylight crossplay communities all love the Rank 1 Wesker Gameplay!

  1. Snowballs are just like sort of fancy emotes, they're purely cosmetic but some people like goofing around with them. The only practical difference really between the snowballs and a /dance emote or something like that is you have to actually spend a small amount of time picking up snowballs from the map to use them. But otherwise it's just something that's easy to ignore if you don't care about them but is around for people who like them. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚

Which reminds me, on a tangent, it would be kind of fun if killers and survivors had an emote command where they could pick an animation on the loadout screen and then clicking the emote button did the animation. Tell me Singularity shouldn't be able to do "The Robot" after scoring a hook. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Hi Red, just wanted to post a combo I was trying out for Red's Requested if it sounds fun. It's the Penalty Box Build, since it's built around stacking a bunch of perks that inflict action speed penalties:

    – Thantophobia (Stacking repair and healing penalty per injured or dying survivor)

    – Dying Light (Stacking repair and healing penalty per hooked survivor other than the Obsession)

    – Coulrophobia (Large penalty to healing while in the killer's terror radius)

    – Nurse's Calling, Whispers, or Bloodhound (a perk of your choice to help you keep survivors in your terror radius when they're trying to heal); Alternatively, if you're willing to forgo a detection perk, try either Scourge Hook: Gift of Pain or Leverage for even more stacking penalties. (You could also try Hex: Pentimento, but with no other Hexes in the combo you'll probably get only one totem per game from a random survivor cleansing a dull totem for one of their perks.)

I was messing around with this combo on Nemesis today but it's generic enough to use on any killer.

  3. Hard disagree on the snowballs.
The DBD community suffers from a higher than normal percentile of toxic players and can sometimes be a punish to play solo too.
I love the devs trying to put some interactivity into the game that might promote some fun between the killer and survivors, or even just other survivors during the game.

Everyone always trying to punish (or BM) each other and sweat out every game is kind of cringe and what deters a lot of new players I've tried to introduce the game to.
So I hope more people try and have some fun with the snowballs and things even if it does feel non trivial and stupid to some,
like yourself (more so you saying it doesnt bother you or you dont want to engage more so).

Love the gameplays as always and hope you have an unreal Christmas when it comes around RED! <3

  5. One more possible requested combo that I haven't seen done yet on streams, it would be to use the new movement speed buff perks to make a Speedy Nurse. So it would be something like:

    – Batteries Included: 5% movement boost near completed generators that also lingers a bit
    – Play With Your Food: +5% boost every time your Obsession escapes you
    – Rapid Brutality: 5% speed boost after a basic attack hit
    – Save the Best for Last: Quicker recoveries after basic attack hits

    Add-ons:
    – either Spasmodic Breath or Matchbox (the former makes Nurse stop teleporting after a hit but she moves 115%, the latter makes Nurse baseline 110% movement but she only teleports once)
    – Dark Cincture: Increases Nurse's movement speed during the Blink Chain window by +30% (basically better possible distance for lunges, seems to work ok with Matchbox if you go that route)

How this plays depends on if you use the Spasmodic Breath or Matchbox. If you use Breath, you'll be playing a "normal" Nurse to get the first hit on a survivor, then chase them down at 120% or more speed on foot. If you use Matchbox, you'll only do single teleports (so might not get as many Blink hits) but are often moving at 110%-120% speed on foot most of the time and can still use the teleport as needed and for extra mobility.
