  1. After this, I'd love to see a more modern killer based on the secret horrors of the Satanic Panic. If you want to know what I mean, go watch a video by the Illuminaughti. She did a very good job of explaining what happened.

  2. If it’s a vampire, it should be a woman. Well, the next killer should be a woman regardless.

    Why?

Because when it comes to og killers, 2/3rds are male and the females are often victims and/or wearing very little.

    Nurse – Victim
Hag – Victim – basically nude
Huntress – badass, amazing female killer
Spirit – victim – basically nude
Plague – quality female killer – basically nude
Charlotte (twins) – victim – dedicated to victor, her personality completely oriented around the male in her life

So I just want a female killer who is as purely evil as other male killers like clown and trickster. I want her to wear clothes and shoes. I want her to have agency when she was alive. Her horror could very much be this extreme feminist nightmare killer.

That would fit a vampire. Notable female vampires in recent media include but are not limited to:

    Carmilla (castlevania)
    The Countess (Lady Gaga)
    Lady Dimitrescu

Then you have the hundreds created for video games and tv shows, even minor roles in movies. I don’t list them because none of them really defined what a female vampire was but rather just really showcased how much staying power the female vampire has.

That also doesn’t exclude female characters who feed on men in other ways. A woman like this has always been scary throughout all cultures. Witches were born from the same fear.

If you have any famous female vampires that you really think put the trope on the map, please comment them!

  3. They could use Störtebecker for a pirate themed killer, although there the lore would have to be changed to make him fit as a killer.

Otherwise they could implement the Rattenfänger von Hameln (The Ratcatcher of Hameln), who might actually fit lorewise.

  4. I think the problem with basing future chapters off tome lore is kinda questionable because we don't actually know if the person they're actually talking about is Vigo or if it's Talbot and nothing from previous tomes has ever been seen or mentioned again I think the memories are just a way to flesh out who the observer is and probably half it is just nods from the devs and not actually anything

  5. There would also be quite a lot of other lesser known Folklore from germany outside of certain regions. There would be for example the so called wild Bertha, basically if you won't finish your food, the wild Bertha will come for you come for you and cut open your stomach and take all the food you had out of you before closing your stomach back up again combined with terrible pain. She gets described as having very wild hair, a twisted grimace and Black clothes. I forgot the name of the add on in english but the one that sends you to Badham Pre school, it's also Part of german Folklore. Basically the german City of Hamel Was plagued by Rats and no one Was able to do anything about it, the towns people almost lost faith but one day all of a sudden a man with a flut appeared in the town he looked like your ordinary Rat Catcher but he Was much more than that. When he Played his flut, he Was able to command the Rats and in no time he got them all out of the town. The towns people thanked him but didn't want to pay him at all. So if they wouldn,t give him any payment, he payed himself with the Kids of the town. Just like the Rats, when the Rat Catcher started to play his flut all Kids in the town would start to dance and follow the command of the rat Catcher. He went outside the town down the road and all the Kids followed him, still dancing. He went with them to the nearby river, where he made every child drown themselves. After that the Rat Catcher Was never heard from again, maybe the same happened in another town aswell, who knows ? The Kids surely don't their bodies are now just mere food for the rats.

  6. I always thought it would be cool if they do ever have a classic monster in DBD, that it would have a black and white skin that makes it look like the killer is from a black and white movie.

  7. I had a theory that based on the title of the recent teaser it had the word moonstone in it, we have two creatures of folklore associated with the moon, vampires and werewolves and based on the last tome cutscene which had vlad the impailer, im guessing its gonna be a vampire of somekind.

  9. I feel like a vampire has a lot of possibilities, especially with teleportation e.g. having a bat form or being able to teleport through different coffins spread around the map. They could also have a Mori like draining the victim or something. Just imagine a gothic creepy castle, lit by candlelight, thunderstorms playing in the background, lightning flashing in the corridors. I would be so happy.

  10. Personally, it isn't going to happen but I'd pick Bluebeard. Give him a Grimm fairy tale map, which weren't all that gentle in their day. He was an unrepentant murderer and slaughterer of women and could have a mechanic involving bloody fonts filled with eyes.

  11. Imma say this about Slenderman. He can touch people like a normal dude— he can feel anything, and those 'static' was just him affecting any gadgets. He was always able to touch anything or anyone, I guess he just doesn't want to be recorded.
