12:28 sounds like an animatronic sound from FNAF to me. It doesn’t last long but it does sound like it. It’s like when they start glitching out and whatnot (Edit: tried finding sounds, closest thing I’ve found is “Mangle’s radio”)
Also at 13:25 there’s like this weird beep/siren sound. I’m not saying Sirenhead, but like, it’s kinda like that. Or at least that’s what I hear. It’s small and subtle, but I hear it, and I don’t know if this is actually the sound. If it is, I have no clue what it’s referencing.

At 12:00, you can hear a faint plucking twice. I distinctly remember a similar plucking gradually increasing in rapidity in a horror movie I have watched, but I don't remember what movie.
this is what it sounds to me because I have played the remaster of resident evil 3 a lot and when you go into the lab section where the tyrants are kept in tubes there is a certain key in the theme that sounds like the music that pops up when you first enter there as Jill

The music has many similarities to a lot of the music in the original candy man songs that I can pick up just a guess though

Im using this video for comparison and Ive noticed many of the notes follow a similar scale with the DbD masquerade menu music. To be fair I have been listening to these menu musics side by side for 30 minutes now and I might be simply hearing what I want to hear. But Its worth mentioning.

For me actually it sounds like some sort of Chucky Themes; after i looked for every single Chucky Theme music I unfortunately cant see much similarities besides the Changestyle of the music from Deep notes to higher ones with a particular sort of "playing" melody in it. just like in the anniversary sounds. I know this is pretty common for horror movies but i cant get out of these thoughts after i tried to hear any other music themes from other horror movie classics. It seems at least for me like the only one that fits the most.
although its being said that there is like a sort of sound effect mentioned in the music,
I cant prove my thoughts but I highly think it could be the music type as a bit of a mystery in it as Calvin mentioned.

Sounds like a alarm in the menu music. Only thing I can think of is when Wesker was attacked by the tyrant in the original Resident Evil and when the lab self destruct timer start.

I think I hear hints of a grandfather clock in the DBD menu theme. Even though I think it really goes with the asthenic of the song and may just be a coincidence. But could this possibly be Vecna?

The music has an almost dark carnival sound, now I may be wrong, because there's also a few notes that remind me of Gauntlet from several years back which has a castle level which could be the Knight. However they kept saying licensed chapter tease, and we know the knight is an original. That means that the dark carnival sound I hear is what I'm focusing on more. Given the industrial mechanics in the background as well, I'm pretty sure that's just the distortion of the original base music.
Now my first thought was Puppet Master from the 80's. It was an old film about a man who would harvest brain tissue to animate his puppets using the souls of his long dead friends. I could see him being a killer similar to Twins. This is however unlikely as there has never been any hint of working with the creators of Puppet Master, although I would love that chapter.
The other and more likely would be IT or Pennywise. DBD said recently that they were talking with Stephen King about an upcoming chapter, but we never heard anything after that. It's possible they are trying to keep it quiet and burying it under road maps and updates hoping we forget. As of now I'm going to say it's possible it could be Pennywise.
i think they are lying i don't think they tease anything in the main menu music it really sound like everything sometimes it gives me pennywise vibes and sometimes it sound like alien and sometimes it sound normal
I think the menu music is whatever the next killers theme is. I can’t tell what the license is and usually for anniversary events the menu plays an edgy version of the happy birthday song similar to what plays when you click the event tab on the main menu

When I first heard the anniversary menu music, it sounded a lot like the themes of Necropolis in the Heroes Of Might And Magic franchise. You could probably guess that faction is all about necromancers and the undead. I think an undead knight would be perfect for a halloween chapter

I don't know what could be the licensed chapter might be, although I will speculate. There were some sounds in the main menu music that sounded like a killer getting in close. It sounds so familiar, however I can't remember where I heard it from. I might be wrong, but I guess we will just have to wait and see if this easter egg is true or not.

as of the dbd anniversary music. its very similar to me of old timey music used in adventures. some sort of water or jungle adventure. so if anyone knows any horror ips that have that theres a chance.
