  1. Claudette being implied to be autistic is the main reason why, out of all the characters in the game, she's my most favorite.

When I first heard about it, I started reading into it, and I really related to her.

Here's to hoping she gets a second tome because she really needs it!

  2. I'm not autistic but I do have ADHD and I heavily relate to having your condition being treated like only children have it, especially little boys, and boy oh boy, do I know the feeling of wanting to find resources and all of them being catered to parents (at least there's ADDitude but that's about it). I'm still trying to get diagnosed as a young adult :')

I'd love to see a video about Symmetra!

  3. I still play Blendette style, but more to be a ninja rescuer/medic. It's hilarious to watch a Killer walk 5 feet away from you without noticing before you unhook someone and pop them to full health with WGLF and 5 stacks of Autodidact.

  4. i'm an autistic person of colour and i adore claudette. i wish she was more well known as an example of good representation! [edited while watching] i would like to see more growth in tomes and such, but i think she is a good start otherwise.

  5. Diagnosed ASD and ADHD at 29. I never realised Claudette was autistic. The whole infantilisation annoys me so much. I'm a grown ass woman so treat me as such. You're very correct on the focus on NT parents and how it affects them. As you said, even online it's 'support your autistic child by…'. It's like we don't exist. Finally, very happy it's a fellow ASDer speaking about this topic; it gives helpful insights. Thank you!

  6. As an autistic adult i agree that help and understanding is hard to find.
And the people making choices for you really overestimate you some times due to you being able to "blend in" better.
The first time i saw a movie with an autistic character was: ready player one. and i loved how they did it!
I never knew claudette was autistic tho.
Fun to know one of the og characters is it.

  7. As someone on the spectrum myself, It's cool to see BHVR try to represent people on the spectrum in DBD with characters like Claudette and (quite possibly) Felix being shown, or at least imply that they are on it. I can kinda see where the Felix speculations are coming from as people have pointed out he might be on the spectrum because of his interest in Architecture, he messes with his hands in his idle animation in the lobby (while not holding anything) and he's probably pretty awkward in social situations.
